Hey guys!
It's me, TheSUCKCrew, and I made an enterprise out of knex (Yay...).
I'm actually pretty happy with the results.
This is my biggest funfair-ride so far, and with a diameter from 3 greys, it was hard to make it work.
I build it else as all the other enterprises, which was necessary since you can't lift the whole wheel including the 16 cars with only some ropes (and I don't like the look of that...).
To make the cars swing out I would need to overspeed the whole thing, which I also don't like.
Vertical was too hard to make IMO, it reaches a little less.

The lifting technique is brilliant, if you were to show this on an exposition people wouldn't even notice the lifting mechanism. Very nice!

Doubt that would be possible, next years theme is already known and we are invited, but we can't go that big next year.

That is not the problem, they keep a certain theme and we have to stick to that. We are not allowed to tell the theme to anyone as nothing is certain yet.

Roller coasters. Next year's theme is ***. Yes, a secret. I do not know how things will go next year, but I'll be sure to mention there are more peeps who'd like to show stuff on the expo.

Well okay than... If there is place left I would always like to join the party, but that's all ways to far in the future.
There also a big chance I improved a lot by then, so this model would be already "bad" by then.

Quite going offtopic here aren't we?

We will keep you in mind, sadly we already have a waiting list of members that want to join us. If we can get an expo fixed in such a way, maybe each one of us can build a smaller model. If not, I would happily inform you that the expo at Dordrecht goes by applying. However if you were to apply for such an expo we would need to get our models together as a group and apply as one. This way we can keep our standard high and be asked for more expositions in the future.

I would also happily inform you that our newest Dutch Details member floris2burn will be attending me at the expo in Dordrecht if he can manage to get a working ride. He has 2 more weeks and it will be hard. Wish him the best luck.

My ride is working and I tried applying trough email. (The website wouldn't accept my postal code because I live in Belgium.)
I just need to do the details now and fix some roofing on top of this thing.

Okay, not really funky, but I guess that if you make it look detailed it can be pretty much fun!
I wanna see pics of this.

It looks pretty cool, theming is done very well.
Though I would never choose I ride like that, since it is a pretty boring ride.

It's because of the little time I had left.
I tried the catarpillar ride first, but too much problems caus I made it too big, and I'm not fond of small things.
So I made something that would work. I made this in barely 2 days and just need to do a few more things. (and the roof)

True, most of the rides I built weren't build out of time-presure or anything.
They are just idea's which are flying into my head out of nothing.
For example enterprise, which was build without of any reason.
With time-presure you have to build something which will work, and has a main-idea that will work without of any exeption.
For example sumatra, which was build because of time-presure. (it didn't work though...)
I really think you did the best job possible on the caroussel, and I cant wait for it to be finished.
With me the main-idea is always created in 1-2 days, and then those "little things" take just as much time:D
Making it perfect is hard, but absolutely necessary to keep our name high.
Are you going to play music with it too?

I'll get some of this old barrel organ music to play. But I'm not sure if I can keep up with it all day.
By the way, did you know the horses go up and down?

On-topic: Your enterprise looks a lot better then most of the others I've seen so far. Hopefully you can use it on an expo somethime.
