Well peep's, sadly this ride was canceled. The ride was a recreation of Golden Loop similar to Montezooma's Revenge at Knotts. The loop was designed by steel FYI. I canceled because the launch failed, wasted string, and it couldn't go backwards through the launch. The car that is...

I can think of a pretty easy way to make the launch, if you'd be willing to do it. Everything other than the launch is really great, it would be sad to see it wasted.

SO this is no longer canceled, but this is a model construction. Not much to post about, but please comment about anything you see wrong. Anything! My biggest concern right now is what to use for brakes. I have to make brakes after the station so that the car slows down just a little up the spike backwards, and then stop suddenly to slow into the station like the real ride.

In that case: Wow, looks good so far! Glad to see that it won't be cancelled.
The breaking will be complicated, but I think there will be a solution... Just have to think up what it is.

Knowing you, you can probably make a mechanism for a friction brake on the launche track and station that gets lowered for the launch.

It's Nice to see White Lightnin' get some respect. The launch really shouldn't be that hard. If it really comes down to it you could use a rubber-band launch.

OK, thanks to TheSUCKCrew i now have an amazing braking system! Thank you so much suck! It means a lot to me! So now because of the brakes, i messed up the second spike so badly! Look at it!

And now for a test video of the brakes!

So now the brakes work so efficiently that I'm stuck on how to make the launch. I have a good idea about how to do the launch so i have that covered. Again, thank you suck for making this happen. It means a lot.

That's going to cause timing issues, what about a little lever that gets pushed when it rushes back raising the brakes, when it goes back down it will slow down on the brakes? Then you manually push the lever back and it will work again.

Well, i didn't want to use the edit button so here it goes,. I forgot to say this in my last post but I will use a trigger that will be hit when the car rushes backwards so that it will turn on the motor, to then switch on the motor. Hope the timing goes well with that idea!

I also think that putting some gears between the motor and axle from the braking would help.
Right now the brakes go up and down every round the motor makes.
If you want me to help you with the whole system to make it go up at the right time, I would be happy to help.

Well, sadly this is now legitimately canceled because of the launch. I failed to make a launch that would launch the 1lbs car up the spike and backwards. Don't get mad at me because i actually tried to make a good launch. it didn't work and i just dont want to pend anymore time on this. Hoping on starting my Christmas coaster soon!

^ Boosters don't let a car go backwords through them. He wants it to launch the car, and when it comes back, the car go straight though the launch and up the spike behind the station, then come in to the station and stop. It was to complicated for him.

Sad to hear your canceling. But your next coaster should be amazing.
