Of course there is another non-roller coaster amusement ride this year. There is one requirement: rotation has to be a key factor in your build. Of course this doesn't include the rotation of gears, we are talking about the main movement of riders. I trust you will be able to meet this requirement. A hint for the people who like drop towers: ever heard of a roto-drop?

Nope, full unlimited rotation. E.g. Ferris Wheel, Enterprise, Booster, Merry-Go-Round.

I get the impression that your ride has to spin. Does this mean no drop towers?

You can.^ On Gyro drop towers the seats spin as the carriage rises towards the top.
