Add a second chain dog to the back of the train.

how do i make it so the chaindog connects to the lift, then when it gets to the top, it releases and lef[ts the train drop?

I know how. Heres how you do it:
You get creative. You go through trial and error until you get one that works. Just experiment.

It would require good timing, but could you clip a connector to the chain (which as it goes in, leaves the car to roll down)

i have tried that ^ and it didn't work. i want to make a mock chain dog but i can't think of how to make it work

Well it would have to have a perfect timing with the chain so the chaindog would connect at the right moment. Then you would probably have to build an automatic lift and a section where the chain would release the train.You need to experiment with trial and error. Monbe you could send in a couple of pics so we can see what's going on.
