Welcome to the second Holiday Blitz Contest here at SSCoasters. After the absence in 2010, we're back with another edition of this contest in which you won't have to build anything.

It is a scavenger hunt that will test your knowledge on the field of K'NEX roller coasters and your use of the SSCoasters Rides Database.

How will this work? Like last year, I will post a series of riddles that refer to a ride or some part of a ride. It is your task to determine the name of the ride and post a thread with the answer in the appropriate subforum. Other users will not be able to see your threads. Be sure to just name your thread with your username and entry. For example, I would put "Jogumpie's Entry".

The user who gets the most questions correct at the end of the competition will receive a tag, like mynci321. You do not have to answer or get every riddle right to win. Also, sharing of answers is not permitted and any indication that a member is doing so will result in their disqualification from the contest.

I am not sure how many total riddles there will be, but the contest will go on until around Christmas or New Year's Eve.

Only K'NEX roller coasters will be used in the contest.

An example riddle would be: "This administrator travelled back in time to kill you."
Which would refer to my own The Gumpinator.

You are allowed to change your answers (just edit your post) up to the point that the answer is announced.

Are you aloud to post multiple answers if you are unshure what one is correct?

You cannot post multiple answers, you can only correct your previous answer.

How long will each riddle be up for editing?

I will close a riddle after about a week. That should give everyone enough time to respond.

Next riddle will be easier. The second one seems a lot harder, isn't it?

Riddle #3 is up and it should prove to be easier than #2. Still, if you haven't posted your guess for riddle #1 or #2, please do so! I've seen correct answers in both riddles, so it is definitely possible.

Since I will be busy with my own megalooper during the weekend, I'll be posting two extra riddles now to get you guys through the weekend.

There's a lack of answers in the riddles that are currently open. Post your guesses before it's too late.

Riddles 15 and 16 will be posted this Monday. Riddles 17 and 18 will be posted this Tuesday. Riddles 19 and 20 will be posted this Wednesday. On December 27th all the riddles will be closed and the winner determined.

What if multiple members have the top score? One (or, if necessary, more) extra riddle(s) will be given for the two (or more?) final players. They'll have to PM their answers to me. You're wrong? You're out, unless all final players are wrong and a new extra riddle is given.

Hopefully I'll be able to determine a winner before New Year's Eve.

C'mon guys, this is the last day of guessing. Riddles 15 to 20 will all close today. Riddles 16, 17 and 20 only have two or three entries so far.
