Hey guys!

2 days ago I started construction on a new coaster, which will be a B&M hyper. It is important to know that this will be a modern B&M hyper, along with some Intamin-stylish elements. This coaster will be automated with Knex.

The coaster will be called Feniks. Feniks is dutch for Phoenix, which is a firebird. You can read the story of it here.

Now for the trackwork! The ride will have a pre-ride, and the station is not builded yet. The part between the station and the lift is already builded, except for one small drop after the station.

Enough rubbish, to the pictures!

Looks good to me, I really like the pre-lift section. Will you make a compact hyper, or a hyper with a lay out like Behemoth, Intimidator etc.?

The gray motor is from the Sawblade Thrill Ride, and the green ones are from CyberK'nex.

This looks awesome.

You'll find that out the next update!

More compact style.

It's a Stratocaster.

Yeah, you're B&M spine is very strong, although VERY hard to build with sharp hills and turns...

How does your brake work?

^ It is more for the show. It brakes very slightly, by making the chaindog go up. (same way as chain slows down the car). Like I said, I just added them because it looks realistic, in real life B&M tracks have also brakes on the straight track before the lift, the use of that is that the car has the same speed as the chain, so it hooks in without a 'shock'.

DP, but update

I added 2 new lift hill supports, and a chain-return guide.

Yes, that are elastics. For some reason, they make the return more straight and stable.

As always, Comment!

Hmmm... that last support is making me nervous... THE rest looks stunning! You sure you're gonna have enough pieces to use that spine the whole way AND do orange supports? You may want to start using blue supports. Looks like overdrive will soon be a thing of the past... :/

Yeah I know but it doesn't look very strong with VV. RNB, could you give us a close up of how you connected the diagonal to the vertical supports?

That looks really good so far RNB! May i suggest another diagonal support on the last lift support that you've made? That support would be to prevent the tube bending, you can see it bending in the 2nd picture.

That looks perfect! I love the B&M style lift supports. Are you still going to give us an automation update?

I am not worried about the amount of orange rods atm, I have 500+ left. I am more worried about the amount of yellow 3-ways now, but I think I can complete the coaster.
The support is quite strong, it only bends now.

See underneath, done for you :)

I love your lift supports.

Thanks!

I try not adding that diagonal. Although, next support will be a slightly taller version of this one, and will have the diagonal, like in real life. Thanks!

Thanks! The automation will come later, having troubles with it. :S
