I was browsing the interweb until I found this interesting picture from my local amusement park:

Of course, me being me, I had to get a look for myself. I mean a completely under-wraps coaster almost no one knows about at MY local park!? I found the small area of footers that were in place as seen above, and I also found these:

I was extremely intrigued so I continued to look around and found nothing, but I did speak to a construction worker who said he was the lead worker in the build and that this is all he could tell me:

This project has been kept under-cover for reasons, and I can not tell you anything exact, but this is what I can tell you:

The project is called Project Fire, and is being manufactured by a European company. We have not received any track as of today, but it has arrived by air transport and will be on route tomorrow. Erection of supports was scheduled to start tomorrow, but because of forcasted inclement weather, vertical construction may not start until late Friday night. The truss support we will be installing first will take approx. 5 lifts. The layout I can tell you nothing about, and the only other thing I can tell you is to watch out for the trains.

I will try and get as many photos on the progress in the future, but this is making me VERY excited!

Try to get an interview with the construction guy. Maybe it's an Intamin I305/Skyrush lifthill.

What is this?

A rollercoaster for Ants?!?

How can people ride this at your local amusement part if they are too small to fit into the cars?

I DON'T WANT YOUR EXCUSES.

It must be atleast...... 3 times bigger than this!

Im not understanding the constant <= shape trend among your roller coaster's bases. Why do you do that?

That was a little rude.... but at least your joking... I think....

That looks.... Colorfull;)

Haha only you would say that Bart XD

cool, i want to see more supports arrive and maybe some track...

I hope there is some more to see tonight too!

1. I am limited on pieces, this base works best for me and is very stable.
2. What is there not to understand? It works doesn't it?

I will try to run down to the park after I finish some make-up work....

Looks cool, &Cowman, support styles like that save peices and are much stronger than normal boxes (which is why they are used on Millennium Force).

^ What are you talking about? Having an inconsistent base is never a good thing. And what does Millennium Force have to do with that?

Nevermind, misread what he said; I thought he said the supports themselves.

The base is temporary...

I looked around a little and found these:
Posted Image
The first part of the truss has been installed and is being held by the temp. support. The first truss support is installed as well....
Posted Image
And I ran into our friend again....

This ride has been constructed ahead of schedule! We expect the lift truss to be erect Saturday morning and track installation to begin soon after. The ride will be manufactured by the world famous Intamin AG. That is all I can tell you at this time.

Hmm....

-Reid
there has been track shipped in, only 3 pieces, but they say a lot about this ride...

I see the thread....

Glad your following this, and yeah, you're on the right track (no pun intended).

LOTS of progress to be seen!

More Cement work, Truss is up, Lift track, and Bad News....

First the Good News!
Posted Image
Posted Image
I found out that the ride is:

Just over 4 Granites tall
Going to have a 85 Degree Drop
a Mega-Lite

Bad News:

We have made a lot of progress! But construction will come to almost a complete halt! Our Finances have been drained because of the need to upgrade Beats: Tour in-ear head phones for Beats: Studio-Limited Edition Purple over-ear head phones. When out funding is replenished and after D.I. Competition, building shall resume.

-Reid

P.S. They are purple, there is no more reasoning needed!

Also, MONSTER KITTY ATTACK!

It looks strong enough to hold the cat back. They better get some money soon because this looks like a good coaster so far! :D
