I would suggest you use a "box spine" for your lift. It make it easier and also you should make your tube-to-tube connections stronger. You should be using 45 degree connectors to connect your tubes. Instead of using a yellow/ grey as your diagnoll use the next size bigger (red/greenish rod in this situation).

Looking at your current tube supports, I can tell that they will be a disaster the larger they get. If I were you, I'd build with box supports for awhile until you feel more confident you can start with tubes. Or, if you're very determined to build a tube coaster, definitely use a box spine as 321 said. It will make the track stronger on the lift, and will make tube connections much easier. Good luck.

I know how to make tubes and connect them to the track it's just that i didn't know how to connect the tubes. Thanks for the comments and advice! As a last resort i'll try the boxes.

build boxes and tube take box off and see if it leans or anything

why did they use big paragraphs to say "tubes look weak use boxes instead" lol :D :P

^They didn't tell him to use box supports. They told him to use a lift spine that had a box support, all that he has is a tube support connected to his lift....how do you think hes going to put a gear up there, he needs to have a spine that is composed of boxes not boxes for supports.

Anyways, what everyone is trying to say is not that your tube to tube connections are bad but your track to tube connection is very poor. The only way that the kind of connection you are using would work is if you alternated the side of connection so that it would be on the opposite side from the rod that it is currently on. Also maybe no automation on this coaster, it is VERY difficult to do and it is ven more peice consuming, and it looks to me as though you are low on thoes. Good luck with this!

Is this better?

EDIT: I posted this just after cowman put that. So what your saying is to make A spine and atach the supports to that. O.k. I will try that.

^ Yes. That is perfect!
And if you do plan to add a "box spine" there is a great tutorial on how to do it. ( You just have to really know your micro and standard knex sizes.)
Type "Electric Eel into google. The name of the website the tutorial is on is
"www.instructables.com"
Or if you want a shortcut here's the link:

I planned to work on the lift today and finish except for the tubes but my school got put in lockdown from tornados. And i just got home. my parents aren't letting me in anywhere except bathroom and the living room. But I did complete the layout today. But sadly i'm behind schedule Later I will post the layout.
