*Hides head* Too many, lol.

The point of this contest is to recreate old coasters with today's standards. So Tube supports, reshaping, re-theming, etc. are all to be expected. In fact, the are encouraged.

i use the box support and they are the best! shaking is very low, and you won't have to use "100 snow flakes" for one coaster :)

do we have to use the same amount of cars per train? ?

Tube supports was simply an example as to what you could do. The only thing that needs to be the same is the layout Dragon. Having more or less cars is fine.

This is gonna be funny, all the people on youtube that watch these coasters yet don't go to SSC (i don't know why they wouldn't though) are going to see a lot of the same ride being built. Then these people will ask themselves "haven't i seen this before" and then go on living the rest of their lives in confusion

Every post is a love letter to a forum once full of innovation

You do have a choice with supports. Box supports keep the classic look that I'm sure some people would like to see, but tubes are one way to modernize it.

Exactly, there are multiple ways to get people to vote for you in this contest. Either go super-duper modern on a classic or choose to just improve on the classic look.

Are you allowed to change the layouts a little bit, like extending helixes (180 degree turn to 540 degree in example)?

No, only mirror the entire layout, change it's size, shape perfection etc.

I have wanted to remake Thunder Giant for an extremely long time, I may have to join in.

Speaking of which, the video doesn't work anymore...

Unfortunately. But luckily the construction thread remains: Thunder Giant

Can we keep the name of the classic Coaster? Dumb question, but I was just curious.

I didn't choose the band life, the band life chose me.

Would it be okay to change the angle of ascent(steepness)on the lift of Stunt Flight?

The original is 45 degrees. What angle are you aiming for?

I feel that's a minor change. So to your situation, I say yes.

Eduardo, you can scale the coaster up or down, but you have to keep the same layout.

Nicholas, that is fine with me, too.

Are we allowed to use drills for our lifts or launches?
