It's fun as hell.

That's not to say I'd go hurl myself off a cliff without basejumping gear

That's better.

As to the general consensuses of the site I'm not afraid of death in the least. I may not have a death wish and I don't "want to die" but I do know deep down in my heart That would much rather sacrifice my life than have a family member or one of my two best friends die. However it is that you want to classify that as, but as a way I've lived I guess I never really valued my flesh and bone being. It's all about what you do with time you have not how long you have it.

I am absolutely not scared of death! I got JESUS bros. Yes! If JESUS really existed. Than he really died; on that cross he suffered for us! He ressurected so we could, when He comes back for us, live in Heaven with Him. God loves us all, and that's why He sent JESUS. Think about it... if there's actually no God, we die into dust and our lives (EVERYONE'S) are worthless. But if we all take that chance and praise God and repent, and He actually is real, we go to Heaven!

Note* I've checked the date. Last post was about 3 months ago and I'm sorry if I had bumped this thread. Sorry mods and everyone. I just wanted to throw out my opinion as I am proud to say it out loud to everyone here.

I'm not scared of death , but I'm not ready to go yet. I'm enjoying life too much right now. I have already buried a wife & a life partner.
I'm also not a religious person, and I never try to be. but I allow anyone to believe what they want, as long as they don't try to push it on me.
but If my time was up, I think I lived a very full life & have no regrets

God has planned a path for you. You will travel the path on your own, with God to help if you choose. Don’t compare your path with someone else. Other people’s paths may cross or run nearby, but only you can take steps on your path. Only you can choose to see the beauty around your current location and enjoy your journey. There may be amazing drops to deep valleys, but keep looking forward and take it one step at a time.

I think I am too religious. :P

Well then. First off, please don't post in the middle of the night, it scares the crap out of me. 2nd thing, please don't post something on a thread over a month since somebody posted. Really though, death scares me. I never want to die.

Why can't he post at night? :P On the serious topics thread, usually they can be bumped as long as it is for a reason. I don't think it was a bad reason but it might have been easier to be left alone. although it's better than him starting a new one.

As for myself, I'm growing up in a Chrstain home, and death never scared me. But now that I kind of have fallen from Christianity death scares me even more. I'm trying to figure my life out and religion is just one thing I can't figure out. I wish I could believe in Christianity, but I'm not doing a good job. Maybe I'm just mad at God, who knows. I am always asked that question, "If you die right now, will you be ready?" The answer is yes and no. Do I want to die? This sounds horrible, but sometimes I do feel like I could be okay just dying. Sometimes that's all I want to do is die. But at the same time, I don't know what's beyond this life. So yeah, sorry I get carried away. I'll stop talking now. :P

As an atheist, im not scared of death. I dont want death, but this is my outlook.
We are going to die. Everyone we love and care about is going to die. Death is literally something that can happen to anyone and happen at any moment.
No matter what we do or what we know we will NEVER be able to comprehend what happens after death.
Death is only scary because it is UNKNOWN. It's like being afraid of the dark, once our sences become unreliable, Say you were forced to enter a completely dark, unfamiliar room. You can’t see a thing & the surroundings are a mystery, so naturally your reaction will be FEAR. But what if someone carefully explained all the details first or drew you a diagram or the room? With the benefit of their knowledge & experience, you’d have some idea what to expect and wouldn’t be so afraid.
Death is the end of life. If you enjoy living, then naturally you do not want to die. But there are some circumstances where death is preferable to life. If you are chronically ill with Alzheimers or terminal cancer, death would seem as a sweet release, especially if pain is unbearable. If you are young and healthy, then death is the ultimate enemy. If however you are aged and in poor health and in constant pain or discomfort, then death is not as scary as living for a few more years in the hell of life
