I've got a challenge for you guys. Shouldn't be too difficult. What you must do is relatively simple. First, take a K'nex piece, any piece micro or standard, and then make it black without painting it or coloring it. It is entirely possible to do, as I have just done it. If you figure out the way, post a picture of it in this thread. In the meantime, good luck! :)
Any more questions of the challenge, just post it in this thread.

If nobody can figure it out, I'll post the answer myself.

Do you torch the knex piece with a flame? I have no clue.

Judging by how you once put your pieces in a freezer, I'd say you tried putting them in the oven.

^There's no point to this, its just for fun.
No, that's not how. You can't do ANYTHING to the piece itself.
Wow, I didn't expect this to get this many posts.

The answer is quite simple actually.
Edit:
v lol, that's not how. You have to use the same piece.

I know I know I know!

Get a white rod.

Get a black rod that's the equivalent size of a white rod.

Throw the white rod away.

You can't do anything to the piece? Then just have your friend come over and paint the piece black for you.

Can we paint a black piece and then scratch the paint off?

Just put the piece in a dark box. There is no light in the box therefore the piece is black because without light there can't be color. And black is the absence of all color.

Uhm, take a piece that is already black and use that. Since its already black you aren't doing anything to make it black.

Incorrect answer. :P

You could take a picture of it and Photoshop it to make it look black. ;)

Agreed. Does this meet the definition of a "Spam Thread"?

I think so. Either way I like my pieces to be multicoloured, why would I want them black. Just makes them difficult to distinguish when they're jumbled up. You must have been really really bored when you thought of this.

That's one way, but not what I had in mind.

This is a major waste of bandwidth and data....

It is? :( I'm very sorry and in no way did I mean to waste bandwith data. Would it be possible to delete this thread or something?

I love multicolored pieces! You're not actually making the pieces black, and, yes, this was out of absolutely nothing but boredom.

*This is going to be the last post on this thread.*
Staff, if this is a spam thread (which I think it is, looking at it) I'm truly very sorry for posting this and it will not happen again. (Another thing... is this thread in the wrong place?) Words cannot express how sorry I am if this is a spam thread, which by the way I did not intend to have a wasted thread.
---
On topic: The answer I was looking for is (the two members got it right) that when you hold the piece up to a bright light, and it appears black because the light is making it impossible to see the color of it. I was going to show pictures of what I mean, but those seem to take up a lot of data. Just imagine instead of a new moon, it is a knex piece and that is the answer.
