This is a highly adjustable and highly realistic break run. I have seen other break designs but most of them are just tubing on the side of the track. I wanted to make something that looks like real breaks that would be used on modern roller coasters, and this is what i have came up with.

I am going to use these breaks on my upcoming coaster, but i am stuck on a track design. Any Suggestions?

I saw the video and they look very functional. I do like the appearance a lot, but the problem with brakes like that is that contact is varied in strength, so the stoppage may look weird sometimes if you get what I mean. It just seems kinda inconsistent. Again, they still serve their purpose well so keep doing what you're doing.

^I do agree, but it is a very interesting design.

I would change the 5-way connectors to the 4-way green connectors so that the trains slide, more than jolt and stop because of the head-on contact; your design may cause your cars or the parts to break. A suggestion would be to have rubber bands on the underneath for tension causing a more effective braking. Can't wait to see more.

I appreciate the feedback. Before I use these on any coaster, I promise to fix any problems i have with these. Any suggestions or a track layout?

Looks an awe-full lot like what I used on my unfinished coaster called Intruder.

Edit: Wrong section *fixed*

Back in 2005: similar design.
The jerking really is a problem with this kind of brakes.
