It's hard to say, my trick is to slide up twards the
edge of the seat and stay strong that way when the ride op pushes 'em down
it's actuly a few inches from me when I slide back down. When I rode Top
Thrill Drasgter I had to make it loose cuase were the lapbar was to go is where my
jaket front pocket held my cammara and cell phone. But it depends on the coaster
i'm riding if its a B&M I like it 2-3 inches, Vekom - TIGHT you might fall
out on those turns. Intamin between 3-5
inches. Morgan - 4-5 inches cuase their famous for airtime. So it all depends on the
coaster.

*gapes*
Didn't the accident on Raven teach you
guys anything?!
Man.....7 inches?! Not only is that retarded its
also unsafe....
Personally I only keep it about an inch or two above my
knees.....
Thats enough to keep me satisfyed....
Plus the ride
ops at your parks must be retarded too....

The lapbars are always pushed down when I keep it a
few inches up. You can get away with anything on Cheetah at Wild Adventures, but
the g's always push it down.

It depends on the coaster.
On Millenium Force
and S:ROS I keep it 2-3 Inches away using the slouch technique.
On Nitro 4+
the clamshell restraints hold me in nicely and i need the space to get good airtime.
On anything with OTSR I make it as tight as possible ever since i had a bad
experience on Nor' Easter.
Most woodies it goes all the way down and
leaves a good amount of space for airtime.
And RCTyrant the ride ops are
stupid at any SFI park. But you can pull the slouch technique at any park and the
wouldnt even notice.
