Okay... Thanks:S
It's so...so...beautiful. I really like how this ride is going to be 100% accurate. I was going to recreate this coaster, (because it is my favorite steel coaster) however, I would never come to your building skill. Has another builder completed a Skyrush recre?
Thank you.
^I did one a while back, but as I said before, this surpasses it in every single way. I'm surprised at how good this is shaping wise, given the fact that most massive coasters use boxes--even with tube this looks smooth and stable.
Oh, and does the 'WERNER' on the fence have anything to do with Stengel?
Yes it does mean Stengel, my brother drew it, we think Werner Stengel is very funny even though we have no idea what he actually does. We make up funny stories all the time.
Slowly but surely, it comes along...beautifully.
And it will continue at this pace until we are all 77 years old. Thanks.
God of recreations?
I think someone who has already completed multiple recreations deserves that name. Thanks though, I can see it fitting me in the future.
cant wait until u add tuubing
I can't wait also, but it will hurt a ton.
That's epic.
Thanks!
damn thats a smooth coaster for gray rods and tubes for the backbone! put some tubing on it and finish the coaster soon please!
I am still going as fast as I can, thanks.
Since you haven't tested the ride, have you tried pressing down the track in the expected load direction? I doubt some of your track connections as well as some shorter tube supports. Obviously the track is sturdy enough, which undoubtedly helps with distributing the forces. Can you give me an answer on this, as it is quite an important part of the preparations.
I do think the support to track connections are strong enough to not fail when the train goes over it. If they aren't I will have to make new ones. The supports are connected strong enough to the base. I don't think they will shake too much as long as the base is anchored into the ground. I am going to recheck every connection to make sure they do hold the expected weight of a train. Thanks for the help!
The only thing I would be concerned at this point about, is I think the train might loose too much speed after the first hill, during that long turn. I don't know how high that next hill will be, but that long turn looks like a speed killer to me.
It will lose speed on the turn, but the most I can do is add extra weight to the trains which are already lubed.
This is mind blowing.
Thanks!
Make sure that the turns have a strong base, which is connected to the ground. You do not want any wobbling track or base, which can also cost much speed. Nevertheless, the coaster looks epic.
Thanks, I still have to set it up and break it down every week but once I'm ready to test it I will anchor the base. There is no way it would work the way it is now.
Holy crap. Well ill never top this. Ever. I dont heve a flat backyard to do this in either so I cant build outside. Looks insanely epic! Keep it up!!!!
If you continue building at the pace you are, you will be able to build like this one day. The ground does look overall flat but it is filled with large bumps in the dirt which is really annoying to build on, but I guess I am still lucky to have this space. Thanks!

I will be able to finish Skyrush by the deadline, but I want the final set up to be complete with both coasters up. That is why I might not do Summer Heat.

Skyrush pictures from exactly 2 months ago!
New and improved base. It's hard to correctly bank the entrance to the turn. All I can do is 45 degrees, or have the support just hold up the track while I let it bank freely until the next support.
This still needs to be smoothed out.

Up, Up, Up...
Down We Go!
I started building again 2 weeks ago.
What an Elvis Fanatic! I really am taking up almost every room downstairs. When I finish these parts of Comet I will have to clear up most of the room again.
Look closely to see the crazy support structure. The turn was to small to use green rods and 3ds on the outside. I have wheels in the track because I might add a chain if it doesn't make it. It goes from 14 granites to 12 btw. I might have to add 1 or 2 more safety chains later in the layout because Comet is a Beast.
Here are the Catwalks. I used yellow half moons because the real thing has yellow stripes on the lifts catwalks.
There's the piano where I kick out some serious tunes.
Now lets see how long it takes before the next update.
