The shaping looks good. If you can you should add middle tubing it will make it stronger. As far as sets, I don't know which ones would be best but I would try to get up to 3 or 4 SS sets total just so that you have enough track and x-ties for future coasters. Good luck! :)

(

Quick question- do you ever get a piece stuck in the vent? If so, how do you get it out?) The speed loss is probably more likely to track to support connections. Adding one more support in between each one you have would seriously help, but if you're pressed for pieces.... yeah. Speaking of which, if you're having limited pieces as you say, I'd worry about catwalks and other details last.

I'm not done building yet.

Yes I have dropped a piece down the vent but was able to reach down and grab it. I now close the vent every time I build to keep that from happening. And thanks DDRman732865 for the rod tutorial and yes I really think that will help!:)

Have you lubricated your cars yet? If you have and you have the supports built up strong then you can add weight to the cars by hot gluing pennies or batteries to the cars. The extra mass will help it keep speed better but only if the track is well supported otherwise it will only cause the track to shake causing speed loss.
