I just wanted to know if anyone has the new EV3 Lego Mindstorm. Is it worth the cost. Is it better then the nxt 2. The set looks pretty cool by itself, I think I might get it anyways. If you do have it, could you please tell me what it is compared to the nxt 2. Its 350 bucks and the nxt 2 is only 250 bucks. It is voice controlled and I was wondering if you can voice control it for a knex launch or something. I also heard that you can use your phone to make something move or lunge forward. I also wanted to know if it could make better automated coasters then the nxt 2. please respond.

Hey mitch
I have Lego Mindstorms nxt 1.0 & 2.0 I dislike EV3 becuse it only has 2 large motors and 1 small one. NXT 2.0 and 1.0 has 3 large motors. If you are building coasters you could have more use on big motors. Then you want to make something voice controlled then I advise NXT 1.0 becuse that has a sound sensor and NXT 2.0 doesn't have that. Then if you wanna use your Phone to control something then it doesn't matter becuse NXT 2.0 & 1.0 and EV3 have a bluetooth and with a app you can control your motors.
You can buy a sound sensor for NXT 2.0 but in the package of 1.0 its a including part.
I hope this will help you choosing.
