If you've collected a lot of micro coaster kits, then you've probably got a lot of micro coaster cars, too.
From my own experience, I find that some of my cars work better than others.
Perhaps I tried to lubricate them and it didn't turn out so great.
Or maybe some are just old and dirty.
Whatever the case, there is a good chance that some of your cars are in dire need of a good cleaning.
This tutorial will show you how to easily and effectively clean your VV cars to get them working like new again.

Here's what you'll need:

- A pair of needle-nose pliers
- A small container or bowl
- Dish soap
- Water
- A fork

In a small bowl or whatever, mix some water with a few drops of dish soap. You don't need much. The best soap to use is any dish soap with anti-grease stuff.

Use a fork to get the wheels off. It takes a bit of prying.
The best way to do this is to get the wheel all the way back into the groove of two prongs (like in the picture).
Then, pry from side to side, like a crowbar.
The pins are pretty strong, but try not to bend them.

Soak all the wheels and pins in soapy water.

Dry the wheels and pins.
For lube-failed cars, your pins will have collected the most crap, so clean them especially good.

Re-assemble like so.

Use the pliers to squeeze the pin back into place.
The head of the pin should be flush with the face of the wheel.

Cool. Do you notice a big improvement in the speed of the cars?

^ Yes. Yes I do.

Bear in mind, Gentlemen, this isn't a lubrication method. This is to get your old and dirty cars to their original performance.

How old is an 'old' car to you, I might try this with my cars on Nos. The cars are aboy two years old and have never been lubed or cleaned before, will it make a difference on these?

^ My oldest cars are 5 or 6 years old, from Vertical Vengeance. The one I did in this tutorial is about 3 years old. I think it came from a Loopin Lightning.
It kind of depends on how much you use them, but I'm going to make a guess and say that after a year, it wouldn't hurt to give them a cleaning.
If there was nothing slowing your cars to begin with, you may not notice much difference.
But, um... wouldn't hurt to try I suppose.
