On the 14th of July, we drove from our campground near Cedar Point to the campground not too far from Kings Island. Once we put up the tent, we still had a couple of hours to go to Kings Island. After we did a couple of rides, most coasters were shut down due to a big thunder storm approaching Cincinnati. It was pouring rain, but our tent stayed pretty dry, except for a few wet corners.
The next day we met Zachman and PKI at Kings Island. We all had Platinum Passes, so we could all enjoy early entry at the park. Before we headed off to a restaurant just outside the park, we also met Greenpig. The five of us had a great time at Kings Island.

Most of these pictures were taken from the top of the Eiffel Tower, just like this photo of the splashdown in Diamondback
The next day we had a long drive to Kelayres in Philadelphia, where we could stay the night. Nevertheless we decided to stop at Kruger Street Toy and Train museum in Wheeling, West Virginia. It was awesome to see the K'NEX rides in real and to meet James. We had a nice time looking at the coasters, trains and toys and playing with the race tracks. Although most of the coasters did not work due to maintenance, it was still very nice to see Night Fury, Basilisk Rail and all the other rides in real.

2014 Trip Park Count:
5. Kings Island
2014 Trip Coaster Count and Opinion:
KINGS ISLAND
32. Adventure Express: A nice ride for kids. With a brake run immediately after a lifthill, the end is a surprise.
33. Back Lot Stunt Coaster: Similar to the other versions in other Cedar Fair parks, it is a good ride.
34. Banshee: The drop on this coaster is sick. Despite the coaster being so stretched out, the coaster was more forceful than I expected. The barrel roll at the end is phenomenal, just like the rest of the ride.
35. Bat: A good Arrow Suspended. It is an enjoyable ride.
36. Beast: This coaster is so funky; forceful turns and strange straight sections, this coaster has both of them. The setting makes it a fantastic ride.
37. Diamondback: This B&M Mega did not have as much airtime as I expected, but it is still a good ride.
38. Firehawk: I felt so sick after riding this Vekoma Flying. Also, the rattling of the chaindog on the lifthill is terrible, it made my ears hurt so bad. I did not like this coaster.
39. Flight of Fear: This coaster was so rough. The coaches were terrible, I could barely fit myself into them. I was so glad when this ride was over.
40. Invertigo: Although going backwards still feels weird, this ride was actually pretty good.
41. Racer: A rough woodie, but with a good amount of airtime. One side has a trim brake while the other side does not have one, so unfortunately there is no real duelling between the two sides.
42. Vortex: This ride was better than I expected. Actually it was not too bad.
