After our visit to Six Flags America, we headed back to the hotel and we stayed the night there. The next morning we left the hotel and we drove to Kings Dominion. We first drove to the campground where we put up our tent. The campground was run by Kings Dominion and it was next to the park. Once we had put up our tent, we drove to the park and we did a couple of rides, including Intimidator 305 in the dark, which was absolutely sick.
The next day we went to the park as well. The rides were incredible, especially Intimidator 305, Dominator and Volcano: the Blast Coaster. The operator on Intimidator 305 was really cool: 'Gentlemen, start your engines!'. Afterall Kings Dominion was the biggest surprise of the trip. The rides and the park itself were better than expected.
After we packed our tent we drove to Shenandoah National Park. The mountains looked amazing and despite the low speed limits, the driving was amazing. We saw five black bears and a couple of deers. Once we were out of Shenandoah National Park we drove to our campground, called Gooney Creek. The place looked like a hoarder's paradise, with old rusty cars all over the place. The whole site looked horrible and it looked unsafe, especially because our phones did not work there. We decided to leave the campground behind and head for Hershey, where we knew there was a good hotel. After having driven 350 miles and having spent most of the day in the car, we were glad that we finally arrived at the hotel.
Yes, we are in 'Murica!

2014 Trip Coaster Count and Opinion:
KINGS DOMINION
48: Anaconda: This Arrow looping coaster was a better ride than expected. The coaster looks great, especially with the tunnel.
49: Avalanche: A bit of a bumpy bobsled coaster, but still really fun.
50: Dominator: One of my favourite B&M Loopers, thanks to its fantastic lay-out. The high-speed turn after the loop makes you grey out a little bit, which never happened to me on a B&M before.
51: Grizzly: We have searched for the entrance for twenty minutes, and in the end we found out that we had to go through a shop in order to go to the coaster. The ride itself is pretty nice.
52: Hurler: The first drop is cool, the rest of the coaster is very rough.
53: Intimidator 305: A fantastic coaster! It is the number 2 on my list, after Maverick. Of the four times I rode Intimidator 305, I blacked out all times in the first low turn, and I could not feel my hands on two of the rides. The only criticism is that the trim brakes slow down the train too much, which makes the end of the ride a bit lame. Other than that, an incredible ride, especially in the dark.
54: Shockwave: Fun, but pretty painful.
55: Volcano: the Blast Coaster: A super cool ride. The lay-out - including the two launches - is fantastic, and the heartline rolls make this coaster stand out.
56: Woodstock Express: A nice little blue woodie we rode with a bunch of small kids.
