[Helmut]

Hey!

This summer Elijah (Jumpge) and I (Helmut) are doing a Coaster Trip. We will be visiting several parks and other places in Canada and the USA. On the 3rd of July I will fly to Boston, and on the 7th of August back to Amsterdam. We are not sure yet when we will start our three-week trip, but it it will be somewhere between these dates of arrival and departure.

This is roughly what our schedule looks like for the big trip:

Oh, I'm sure you know this, but definitely get a Six Flags pass and a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass (purchase from Canada's Wonderland, since you'll be having it processed there.)

We will get a Six Flags Gold Pass from Six Flags Great Escape and a Cedar Fair Platinum Pass from Cedar Point. We can process the latter at Canada's Wonderland, I checked it by sending both parks an email. We wanted to buy the Platinum Pass at Cedar Point because of the one hour early ride time.

Okay, that's good to know. I've known in the past that throughout the chain they've either had trouble processing Platinum Passes purchased through other parks or couldn't at all. And the one hour early entry at Cedar Point is good for any Platinum Pass, not just ones purchased from CP.

So we can buy the Platinum Passes from Canada's Wonderland and have early ride time at all of the other Cedar Fair parks, including Cedar Point? That would mean that we, as Platinum Pass holders, can enjoy even more benefits than I expected a few minutes ago.

^Yeah, Platinum Passes work the same at any Cedar Fair park. Although as far as I remember Canada's Wonderland only has early entry on weekends, but I don't know if that was just when I was there or if anything changed. Either way a Platinum Pass is one of the best values you'll ever get.

Holy crap, that is one long trip. After going to Cedar Point early in the trip lots of things probably won't be as intense as they could be. I am curious to see what you favorite roller coasters will be by the end of the trip, hopefully Maverick. This is probably the largest use of both a Six Flags or Cedar Fair pass I have seen in one trip, and it's both. Have fun Helmer and Elijah, I may end up being at Cedar Point, Kings Island, or Dorney while you are there.
Also why are you staying in Hazleton to go to Dorney the first time, and then all the way back to Dorney again when it's an hour away, just wondering.

That sounds like an incredibly fun trip, guys! You'll have lots of fun visiting all of the parks and sites!
You'll love KI, especially because of FoF, Diamondback, The Bat, The Beast, and now Banshee.
You should let us know when you're coming to KI, (After you figure out the dates of course,) it would be really cool to meet two of my favorite builders.

I'm looking forwards to so many new coasters on this trip. Especially Banshee, El Toro, Bizarro, Intimidator 305 and (even though I've already ridden it) Leviathan. It should be a ton of fun!

Very cool! A friend and I are planning something similar for when we graduate high school in 2016! How do you plan on paying for the trip? Only difference is that he wants to stay in hotels :/. Will you guys be tenting or staying in a travel trailer? You have no idea how much I want to go on this trip, but it'll be cool to see how it turns out for you guys!

I just realized I'm going to be at KI during a mission trip I'm going on sometime between July 11th and 20th. If we happen to be there on the same day, we'll have to meet up for lunch or something!
