OK, im leaving to go to Cedar Point in Ohio next

tuesday. And (sadly) i have never ridden a rollercoaster before. :( I only have one day at the

park and i was wondering what rollercoasters i should ride first. Im kinda freaked out.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! (sp?)

well, all of cedar point's rides are good. I

would definitely suggest getting your hand stamped for MF, and try to get the dragster

in while you're there (i wish i could ride that, i went there and they added it a

few months after <_< ) If you get there early, I

would suggest going to the back of the park, because alot of guests stay in the front of

the park. Go to the back and work your way up. That way, when the park thins out,

just about every ride is fair game. MF and Dragster 1st though, those will get more

and more guests as the day goes on

crazy

BTW: If that

sounded confusing, its ok. There's 2 strategys in there. Just pick one and run

with it!

Get freeway stamps for MF and TTD ASAP. If not

be ready to wait. Everything else will have lines but not as bad as those two.

If you get in the extra hour early, then hit TTD first,

then ride MF before the park opens to the public. If not then head straight to TTD

first. Then head to the back of the park for mean streak, gemini, and magnum. Work

your way forward to corkscrew, and power tower. Next head to wicked twister,

disaster transport, raptor, and blue streak. Head to Iron Dragon and Wildcat next.

Then hit Millie and save Mantis for last. Sometime in there, I believe the freeways for

Millie are at 11:00 and for TTD they are at 2:00. Get those two freeways and you can

ride them twice that day.

 um i suggest you ride the

car to get there...j/k um, since you havent been on a coaster before get the freeway

pass for mf and ttd, but then get on raptor, and sit in the middle to get used to rideing,

then you'll want to go on everything..

If TTD is not open when you arive at the park head

stright to Mantis. Manits line is probly one of the slowest and most horable lines to

stand in. It seems like it will take forever! But if TTD's open go there first.

Ride MF around 9 that means get in the queue at 9. After you get off the ride it will be

around 10:30, park should be closed already. If there is still a line for TTD chances are

Raptor is still open, the line for Raptor at night is about 4mins max. Ride MF during

lunch. Magnum is a must at night. Wicked Twister dont miss. Also Disaster Transport,

a lot of people underestimate this ride, RIDE IT! Also get the 3-D glasses, or go

dumpster diving and get them free.... Every other ride will just work its way in. Even if

you get there with a starlight pass you'll still be able to ride everything.

When i said what should i ride first i meant which

coaster is the best coaster to start off with. Ive seen MF and TTD , i dont really

wabnt to ride them first because im kinda afraid off heights and high speeds...

 Which

coasters are best to start with, not too bad to ride for a first timer.

Start of with Raptor then. Then go

from there! ;)

BTW: One

of the things about coasters is that you are given the chance to face your fear in the

face. That is one of the most thrilling things about coasters!

TTD will not be open untill they figured out

what caused the recent accident (metal shards hit riders in the chest) and will probably

be down for a couple days/weeks. But you HAVE to ride Millennium Force,

don't worry about highets or speeds. Roller Coasters are extremely safe, its that

thrill of facing your fear. Trust me, I have seen tons of kids take thier first coaster ride

on Eagle, and come off smiling from ear to ear, its a great feeling to have.....

Do it!

I would ride soemthing like Blue Streak or even

WildCat, then go on Raptor and everything else from there.

My first 2

roller coasters were Sky Princess @ Dutch Wonderland and Great White @

Morey's Piers. My first looper however was Alpengeist @ BGW. When I came

off that ride I was on a natural high.

I'm so sorry but even though I have no clue what

Sky Princess is just the name! ROFL, especially for a coster.

However if TTD is open you can ride it. Really when you are up at the top of the

tower you dont really even see how high you are and really you wont care. However

if you can do Power Tower(either) you can do MF. It is only 10ft higher. (wink wink).

If you rode Alp you can ride Raptor and find it better. Mantis shouldnt be a prob. But

if you do ride mantis ride in front by all means avoid row 4 and back. Raptor, front car,

very left, or second car middle left. MF front or back, Wicked Twister is probly one of

the most scariest coasters I have ever riddin in my 6 years of coaster riding. Reason?

I was in back.... Gemini, sit on the inside or the track that way you will be able to play

tag with your friend on the red/blue train! Mean Streak sit in back with YOUR

back off the back of the seat, unless you like agionizing pain. Corkscrew, front, thats a

must. Magnum, 1st car 3rd row. Mine ride, ahh dont bother. Disaster Transport, front

you may have to run  BS-anywere, air time

is air time. Wildcat, anywere. Iron Dragon, front for the swinging in the break run,

however if at dusk DO NOT RIDE! WSE-back

You have to ride MF. You won't know what

you missed if you don't ride it.

If they do mange to get TTD open

(doubt it) when you go then ride that first. The tallest and fastest first.

Also, you must ride Wicked Twister. Either the very front or the very back. The

twist are fun.

RIDE THE INTAMINS!

(even disastar

transport)

A good coaster to start off with would be something

like Blue Streak, Wildcat, or Cedar Creek Mine Ride. Then if you like those, try

Wicked Twister, and/or Gemini. Then if you like those then... maybe Magnum?? If

you end up liking coasters, ride MF! It's the only thing in the park that is

worth a 1 1/2 hour wait! I don't know about how much TTD is worth, but I

wouldn't expect it to be very high... if you've been following up on the

News, you know what I mean.

He's probably a coaster enthusiasts and would

rather ride the big rides first so he doesn't have to wait in line for hours.

rides first. :D

well if for your first coaster go for Iron Dragon,

everyone always puts down on it. It was my first CP coaster.

(Story

time!*everyone huddels in a cricle sitting*)

Then again when we

went on a school trip to SF Elitch Gardens it were two peoples first time on a coaster,

they were hangin out with us and the first ride, Mind Eraser. Both loved it. Then

Boomerang, well both didnt like it. They would do it again but just no a recimendation

for them. For a first time coaster rider, riding the most intense, most inverted thing in

Colorado. Thats pretty good. So also MF for a first would actually be a great one to

start with. And right before we were goin leave, we talked on of them in to going on

the skycoaster. They had to pull the cord, she was terified, but when she got off she

wanted to do it again.

I would start with Blue Streak then bump up about

100 feet at a time. That's what I did! Bring some friends with you,

you'll be less likely to chicken out.

Demon Drop is great! It is a little rought at first.

But when you get to the top put a penny on you knee and when you go horizontial

dodge the penny.
