As 2014 comes to a close, let's take a look back at what you accomplished. Did you build something you were especially proud of? Did you learn and implement a new building technique? What do you look forward to in 2015 and what do you want to improve at?

Feel free to post photos (could just be a photo you took that you think is pretty cool) and links to models you have constructed. You do not have to limit it this to K'NEX either. It can include items from your personal life.

So many builders have improved so much this year, and have made some awesome models. I'm excited to see what people say.

For me, I believe that Lightning Run was my best K'nex accomplishment. Speed was a huge factor in this ride, and somehow my trains made the layout pretty nicely. Thanks trains. :D

2014 has been a great year for me. I didnt really improve very much in the K'nex aspect, but i hope to take my building to the next level in 2015 (details to come :P )

I really only completed two models, Back Breaker, which was a fail in my opinion, and Night Fall which was considerably better. As far as other members, we had some really amazing builders come about; Zach and Graham. They've built some pretty spectacular rides this year.

As far as my racing career goes, i signed up with a forum that specializes in online racing, ive been participating in some of their events, which have been turned into youtube videos. I normally place at the back of the grid in the events, but i get some good overtakes that are noted by the channel manager in the video, so 55,000 people get to see me do some crazy overtakes.

I didnt really get to travel this year, which was a shame, but school has been going well.

Anyways, 2015 will be a make-it-or-die-trying year on here for me. :P

I'd consider it a good year for me K'nex wise, as I completed Convolution and entered it into a contest on Instructables and came first place, winning nearly $300 in prizes!

This year has been pretty good, had some good builds I think, even though I couldn't get a contest win (I got close-ish). I got to tour Knex so that was really cool, also got to go to SFGA.

As far as personal stuff goes, I got a lot better at biking. At the start of the year I sucked at jumps, not I am hucking ten foot long ones and four foot drops! I won my first bike racing series and I am happy about that. I improved a good deal at scootering, and I started taking spanish :P. I also started doing rails on skis!

In 2015 I hope to do a LOT of biking and skiing, mainly biking, I hope to finish my ski bike project as well as my scooter jumps in my backyard. I will start high school next year and hope it all goes well!

K'NEX wise 2014 was an awesome year for me. Too bad I can't say the same about my personal life. But I guess it balances out. I've done a lot of awesome stuff with friends too :-)

Let's just 2014 was 'okay'. Nothing ever really stands out to me, besides meeting Zach a lot. Me being with friends is aan accomplishment in general, but that's a whole different story. School was bleh, building was bleh, Andi find myself having less time for knex which is a real 'bleh'. I now know what highschool is like I guess.

My year was a bit of a downer. I can't see my girlfriend anymore, I'm failing my math class (I'm working hard in the class. That's what pisses me off), I am about to have my second surgery of the year, and I think I should get an award for the most cancelled coasters to completed coasters ratio.

^Ive always felt that way about canceling rides and stuff. Especially when you have an idea that's pretty cool, and it just goes in the trash because you don't complete it.

I think this year I've really grown as a builder - at the start of this year, I was building wobbly, misshapen and really quite unorthodox coasters which barely worked. Ever since I've joined SSC, my building skills have been growing exponentially! Thanks to everyone on here who has made that possible! ;)

On a side note, it's been a good year for the site too, hasn't it? The forums seem much more active than they were this time last year, we've gained some really talented builders and as a result, the standard, and number of entries in the contests we hold are higher than ever!

EDIT: On a side note, it doesn't seem like my new coaster, Vortex (or any other newer coasters for that matter) are showing up on RCRR :/ I'm fairly certain people are voting for it, since the number of views on the page is increasing...has anyone else noticed this? Could somebody on admin have a look at it please? Thanks.

RCRR is my personal little project and I haven't worked on it for months. Hopefully I will have a look in the near future.

I've grown also so much as a builder in 2014, awesome!!! SSC is a great site, you can not just improve your coasters with it, you can also share your good and bad moments in your life and talk about coasters.

2014 was a very good year for me: I went to Ferrari World, went to many parks and school was also not bad:)

I cancelled a coaster, and the other one sits unfinished as of now. Not so great, haha. But it's always great to see the forums evolving and people improving.

I was a lot more active on SSC this year, and I feel like the rest of the site was more active too. Lots of young, talented builders joined our community. And I successfully built Deja Vu, the coaster I've always dreamed of building since I first joined this site.

Engineering college is stealing nearly all of my free time, but at least I'm enjoying it a lot. This site has become an invaluable way for me to stay involved with K'Nex even when I'm 200 miles away from my pieces.
