it seems that colossus might not be so out of reach after all, I highly under estimated how many peices building with tubes supports and the grantie rod high sturdy base used, this current project ive been able to conserve what seems like a good amount of speed from using block support instead of tubes. also block support seems to use less pieces some how. either way ive build a drop, lopp, dive loop, and imulman loop, and a mid course brake run, that stands at a hight of 2 - 2 and half grey rods, could have made it closer to 3 without speed issues though.  to put this into perspective the drop stands at 5 and half grey rods. so throughout a drive drop, loop and 2 other elements its only lost like 2 and half? crazy what the bearings have done.

the difference in speed from block vs tube is quite a fair amount tbh, i got the drop loop cobra and first corcksrew done on the colossus recreation and only had enough speed to the other corckscrew at 1 and half grey rods high, thats 4-5 elements the same as this coaster and it lost an entire grey rod and a half almost of hight.

point is that, when i retry colossus, ill be useing block support as it seems like i can both save peices for latter and save speed, ill still be ordering more pieces though just incase.

Looks good, I hope you'll finish this one out. There's definitely a sacrifice to be made in building with tubes over boxes, though I like using both.

I saw the more recent video, the pretzel knot turned out really well! This seems to be a more unique layout than a typical sit-down which is nice to see.

Yh it seems I save a good amount of speed and process so hopefully I can get colossus attempt 3 in before my mother gets her new sofa and wants the living room back lol
I have faith in box supports being good for it and also I've orderd 350 more granite rods, gunna order some more greys soon but I cant find then cheap enough anywhere.
They are 30 p each on knexusergruop where as granite rods are only 5 p each lol.

Its been a while since i updates the forum here on the progress,  I have since finished the drop, top of the lift, imulman, mid course brakes and the turn just before the double corkscrew.

my plan from here is the double corckscrew, a slowly raising helix and then into the brakes and station. so not long left at all and still a lot of pieces left, gunna order a bunch more 3d conectors and cross ties for a future project though, but this switch in building methods has opend up a few possibilities for building large in this small space.

It looks really good!

I like how quickly you seem to smash out full builds!
