Hi, i'm working on some new bearing hubs, these will have 12 wheels per assembly, some being lightly springloaded, this is mainly for manuverbility, and should be a little better at speed retension

Re: the gray tubes are the bearing sizes for reference, see http://www.sscoaster...ades-with-help/ for the sizes

I'm gonna make a car kit for yall, basically it's gonna be a universal joint, and some bearings, so you can design your cars how you want them, and also use the old cars with some modifications

to connect the cars, these bearings would be used https://www.ebay.co....hsAAOSwOTZdSabS and we'd put lego part 62520 inside them, this would work much better than ball joints

Ahhhh so I didn't see this thread before, how is the project getting on? It seems really cool and really ambitious, the plan is seperately pivoting axles right? I want to do those as well, but I'm first going to finish my train with good old 6 bearings per axle.
Did you find a solution to implement spring loaded bearings?

it's going pretty well, yeah, most axis are fully moveable, and i'm just going to use some elastic bands on the assembly they're almost finished tho, and completely modular

Mad respects if you pull it off in one go :). Excited to see what comes out of this.

what size wheels are they, and tbh with knex I think having double wheels will hinder the performence rather than bennafit it
