Guess what..

Me and one of my co-workers have contacted Dorney and got the "OK" from them. And in June we will be doing a Hydra marathon! We will be staying on Hydra for three days straight. Dorney will be proving food and drinks for us too! So If any of you guys go in june...look for the two bums sleeping on the train...lol

Mike Boodly (designer of Wildcat@Hershy and Thunderhead@Dollywood) rode Comet at Astroland to make a world record. The park said they would provide food, but all they gave him were hot dogs! And now he dosnt really have a liking towards them!

No, Ive seen pics from the webcam showing Hydra testing. I would guess that the cam was taken down to do landscaping.

xtremecoasters has coverage of hydras media day with videos and photos. The ride looks so good, and only 10 days till i ride her!!

EDIT: I just saw a hydra comercial on fox, it was different from the one before, it showed the coaster and everything this time. "Hydra: The Revenge, it is a monster of a coaster!".

Meh, I have a feeling that Medusa East will be over Hydra. Looks boring after the JoJo roll, nothing I haven't experienced before. I'll give it a fair shot though, and we'll see...

People expected to much from it though, its the same thing as superman UF. Alot of people dont like superman, mainly because they were expecting this amazing ride that would rival nitro, which ofcoarse it isnt. You really cant compare a ride like hydra to anything but other floorless coasters, which in many reviews ive read people werent doing.

Hydra looks like a great ride to me, its got all of the great B&M inversions i love, in a unique order, plus a jojo roll, and the coaster is a terrain coaster aswell, which i also love (thats the main reason i like apollo over nitro). Alot of the negative reviews ive read were just people with kk on the brain and compare everything to kk, which they havent even ridden yet. I personally prefer medusa over ttd anyday, and i suspect ill think the same about hydra and kk.

I just hate when people bash perfectlly good b&m coasters like superman and hydra because they arent as tall and fast as rides like kk, ttd, and nitro...

^I agree. Personally, i love hieghts, but if a coaster has unique inversions, not to mention an inversion before the lift, it should still be a great ride. I'll get to ride it this summer, and I can't wait. I'll have already ridden KK so i wont have that on my mind(like the negative reviews you've read millenniumman).
