three words...
"Magnetic Linear Accelleration" That thing might go do fact it
would break the track, but probably not.
those would be a little big, lol. I would think that it would just brake the magnet you
have on the car because if you turn the magnets on, there would'nt be anything
to pull on until the car comes along and even then, the magnet would not be big enouph
to brake the track, just the car magnets.

Escape, doesn't use Rare Earth Magnets or true LIMs. It uses a very special
electro-magnent called a LSM (Linear Syncronized Motor). I don't feel like
explaining the difference between a LIM and a LSM right now, so PM me if you
care. All you need to know is that a LSM is more powerful than a LIM.
I
am making my own LIM and believe I understand its physics. So I don't
completly understand/believe in the earth magnets, but I know my LIMs.

dont i just call it MLA so i dont have to type it out. Yes of course MLA uses magnets
buts it is basically a domino effect of kenetic energy.

each frame in this video shows 1/30th of a second. the video has six frames,
so if you do the math the total video shows about 1/5th of a second.
keep
in mind the mechanism is a foot long. if you notice, only two frames pass before it hits
the tape meaning the last four frames are the tape moving after the mechanism was
fired. Do the math again and that is 1/15th of a second to pass through the foot long
mechanism.
If someone could use this idea of a gauss rifle, which is
principled on MLA that that fould for sure be a great launch

this is also how i found rare-earth-magnets.com

BTW this is my science fair project for this year, thats why i know a lil bit
about it

strong ones as you go and the last one repel If it would work, I don't really think
so.
EDIT: How could you attach the Gauss Rifle and the coaster car to
connect?

Ok, first of all, to set things
strait, Superman: The Escape, doesn't use Rare Earth Magnets or true LIMs. It
uses a very special electro-magnent called a LSM (Linear Syncronized Motor). I
don't feel like explaining the difference between a LIM and a LSM right now, so

combonation with LIMS for the initial launch and LSM for pickup and breaking. It
uses all three.
EDIT: I was searching the net and found this:
How LIMs work- http://home.comcast....2/limswork.html
Linear SYNCHRONOUS motors work with some about LIMs http://www.me.utexas...oller/tech.html
Rebuilt. Rehashed. Refined.
Echelon|Redux. coming soon.

I wonder if you made weak
magnets to start and then strong ones as you go and the last one repel If it would
work, I don't really think so.
EDIT: How could you attach the Gauss
Rifle and the coaster car to connect?
threw out the idea, its someone elses job to do that lol... i dont know exactly how yet
but i'll keep thinking

a C shaped box on the side. If you hang them just try to use the least friction possible.

It uses
rare earth magnets in combonation with LIMS for the initial launch and LSM for
pickup and breaking. It uses all three.
Where did you hear that? Ive my whole life have been told in books, online,
TV everywhere that its just LSM's and that LIMs or Rare Earth Magnents
weren't used because they werent powerful enough to do the job.

does use lsms's, oh by the way hope you don't blame me for mixing
lim's with lsm's in my earlier post, lol. Huge rare earth magnets are on the
bottom of the cars, and the electric magnets are on the track, and how would the car
move if there were'nt any magnets on the car ?, I even saw on a show titled
scream parks and have it on video showing jim black demonstrating the power of the
magnets on the bottom of the car, putting a wrench to it and it pulling it to it's
surface with an extreme amount of force.

I have that same show on
video. You can see Riddler's Revenge under construction in the background in
that segment.

put them on the track like this: \/ and have a strate thing on the bottom of that
car and have the repelling side on the inside and the attracting side on the outter side,
its thats simple. LOL
