It is the tallest coaster in the world. It will have huge lines. MF had a 7 hour line opening day. TTD had a 9hour wait!Originally posted by Dakanektr@Oct 2 2004, 05:34 PM
Ahem, if hardly anyone besides locals and CE know about the ride, then how will I wait in line all day??? It'll prob. Be 3 hours, but i don't care, After I get off everything else is gonna be empty!(6 times on Nitro without getting off :WoOt!)

Ahem, if hardly anyone besides locals and CE know about the ride,
You are SO wrong with that comment...nearly everyone knows about this......There are signs around the park, A "Preview Building" for the ride, T-Shrits allready on sale, it was in the News and Newspapers...and We were told that to sumtimes after our closing spiel for the rides to say "And enjoy the rest of your day here at Six Flags Great Adventure, Future home of the Tallest Fastest coaster...Kingda Ka!"
So sorry, but yes the lines will be huge pretty much all year next year for this ride...
CC
PS, they put me on Spinmiester...........so.....much....fun....

move anymore attractions around) They said, "We have a special method of getting room for our new coasters, it involves adding more land and expanding the penninsula."
So there you have it.
I doubt they told you that

Like
HPRenegade150 stated, the shoulder harnesses really will probably kill this ride.
well Storm Runner has the
exact same restraints. And from what I have heard is that the OTSR are very spacey
and very comfortable.

Comfortable some what.
As long as you arent stapled in (sometimes the launch does it for you) then
your fine on SR, but I have come off with my thighs killing me due the restraints being
tight, and when you exert force on the restraints it hurts like hell.

think that just because the coaster will be hauling over the hill, that its going to produce
extreme negative G's. Thats not true, its not about the speed that the car goes
over the hill, its about the shape of the hill. From the renders, looks like this hill will be
providing lots of nice long floater air. No negative G's. You can tell because the
hill is a low parabola shape, not a sharp triangle type like Magnum. Anyone who has
rode Magnum knows that its extreme airtime on the return hills, that is because they
have a very pointed top, unlike the first few hills that are wide parabolas.....
It's basic physics, since the Line of Force (LOF) has no sharp points or
sudden changes, that means the bodies inertia will stay in a constant pace. Take
Magnum for example, those triangular hills, when traveling up the straight edge, your
bodies inertia is heading up at a constant angle, but with that sudden change in
direction it causes your body to come outta the seat because your body wants to keep
moving up. On parabolic hills like Kinga Ka, or Millennium Force, the airtime is more
of a floater because the hill is shaped so that your body will be moving up, but gravity
keeps it down so much that you aren't being ejected. Its hard to envision, but in a
few years, when most of you will take high-school or college Physics, it will be more
understandable......

so you think putting in lapbars
will not hurt your thighs??? TTD left my legs numb, if you have never ridden TTD, the
ops litterally jump on your restraint to get it in as far as it can posable go. AND, I got
stuck on TTD for 25mins total (2times).

and you have more movement. and the restraints on storm runner prevent you from
putting your hands up... and they kinda hurt your shoulders too. but since i love to put
my hands right up, i really wont like those restraints. TTD front seat... hands
up!!

OTSRs are, they still will restrict the view and just take away from the open-air
feeling the Intamin trains have.
Like Toaster said, "TTD front seat....hands
up," been there, done that!

ones without modifications) and I have never had a problem on them. As long as you
know how to keep from getting "stapled" then your fine. Where as
SR's restraints almost always come down and make a tight fit on your thighs.

people arent smart enough to to realise what they are telling them. It wont really
come out as a big deal to regular GP gadv goers until they see it for them selves. I
mean, the signs must not be that impressive if i heard a group of people coming from
nitro saying this,
person 1."man, nitros so tall, its crazy".
Person 2-"duh, its the tallest in the world".
person1-"yesh, i
dont think there will ever be one taller than that thing".
Me and my
brother over heard this this convo that happedned to take place by the kinda ka sign
near chiller, it was quite funny .

doesnt anyone interrupt and make them looks like dumbasses? that is when the fun
begins. CC, I'm going in May, which I thought was opening day cuz DP and
Hershey Are like that time but just 30 miles south means two months earlier opening
day? It doesnt make much sense.
Anyway, I found out it is on May 27, School
day but Friday......I will be free from high crowds for some of the day at least......But
I will get on it if I have to murder my chaperone, I dont give a damm about two hour
waits, if she says lets go on Skull mountain I'll screw that and run to KK.
