it to the 500' mark. Its not that far away people..........

Dont
worry about bad staff for KK, They are holding interviews for those who want to
work that ride...And you also need at least one years worth of Coaster experience,
which makes me not legible to work at it.
-Ryan
Which doesnt make much sense
considering your probably the best op at gadv. They should save KK for the best ops,
but it should also be people who love coasters and love their job just being around
coasters, not just people who want a paycheck....

that ride."

doesnt mean theyll really be good at it. Cp saved its best staff for ttd, and i mean
there BEST staff. All though most of cps staff is great, the ttd ones seemed as if they
were trained in the military or something, their that incredible. The staff on kk
probably will be good, but not great. KK will see 4+ hour waits most of the time, and
there will be down time most of the time. Thats not a reflection of the staff, thats just
the logic of this coaster. There is a chance it wont see any down time, like most gadv
fans expect, but people really should expect long lines and ttds down time on kingda
ka. Im sure intamin has made changes to the hydrolaunch, but this is still a high tech
coaster, and it will see problems. People need to start realising a trip on opening day
or any day in the season will never garentee a ride on kk, so much can happen, look at
ttds media day. Even if KK is running, long line might only permit one ride on kk that
day. Thats why we all need to take advantage of gadvs season pass offers for special
acess to kk, but like i said, that doesnt even garentee a ride on it.....

toward gadv. In my post i clearly stated that the problems kk will have wont be the
parks fault, its just the advanced technology of the ride. Its long lines might some
what be staff related, but most of it will be the popularity the ride brings. I feel this
way because for the first half of my summer in 03, i spent obsessing over whether ttd
wqs open each day or not, knowing ill be going in a few weeks. Luckilly i got on it,
only once, but i got on it. I just feel bad when people get so excited over kingda ka,
not expecting any problems with it, and how much anger theyll have once the season
comes around. Ill be extremelly suprised if intamin designed kk in a way that it will
never break down, i dont think humans have mastered hydraulics in any feild, let alone
coasters. Im just trying to tell you that your hopes are up a little to high about kk and
not to be too dissapointed when some of your visits will be kk free. I do have my
issues with gadv, but i wont hold htem responsoble for kks downtime or lines, unless its
to a rediculous extent. Im just always amazed that ill go to gadv for a day in the
summer, and then go to IOA, or CP, or BGW and witness there good capacity and
wonder why gadv cant d othe same. I do believe now gadv is taking a turn for the
better, but that doesnt mean kingda ka will be problem free this season.....

in to my mouth like I've said them. When did I ever say that? Luckily,
I'm not ever going on the ride unless there is a season pass time for it. Now we
all know here that "CP has this" and "CP had this" and
"CP is the best." Do you not think the park has put time and effort to find
good staff? Sups and leaders? Thats the best you can get. I know a lot of opertors
that work their butt off to get the ride going. Especailly Chiller's staff, and no,
i'm not favoring Ryan. They check that train in ten seconds flat. Now, do I
think Intamin has made the type more reliable? Yes. But it will have break-downs.
I'm guessing not has many as TTD, but it will.
I don't know
how many times I'm gonna say this, GADV IS NOT CP! But with the
help of the new GM, I bet he'll turn this park around an head it in the right
derection. Which he already has proven to me.

Most of
the staff for KK's first year will be Sups and Former leads. Hope that
helps.
-Ryan
yes it
does, thanks nitroryder.
SFF56. I know in my last post it sounded like i
was reffering directly to you, but i really wasnt, it was more to anyone who might have
high hopes about kk. Your right , gadv isnt cp, but why cant they be? Why arent they
now as good as cp? This might all sound cp fanboyish to you but youve never been to
cp (you might have, im not really sure, i get the impression you havent though). If you
every go to cp, dont just ride coasters, pay attention to little things, especially how well
the rides ops move. TTD had it down time problems, but cp handled it in such away
that they made it up to there guests. They made you aware ttd might not be open
when u planned your trip, and they even stopped advertising ttd on tv. Where ever
you were in the park, you knew by signs if ttd was running or not. And if it wasnt, i
know on several cases people have gotten free tickets and such. Gadv needs to reach
out and help those dissapointed guests when kk isnt running, thats there biggest task
this season, an ill honestly say its looking good.
This is all my opinions, for
all i know KK could run with out breaking down, have the best capacity, and bring sf
out of debt. Who knows, we'll just have to wait and see.

where CP is. Anyone remember, that they are having three years of clean-up? 2005
is only the second year! I've seen signs before around GADV saying
what rides will be closed, and even what TIMES a ride will be closed. I have never
been to CP, and at GADV, I never EVER will just pay attention to the rides. I'll
look at the flowers, the trash, the staff, everything. I sometimes help the ride
operators our by putting down a restraint and locking it if no one is sitting there (on a
low-capacity day). Just trying to tell them that they are doing a good job for what they
do. GADV staff is the best I've seen it since I first went to the park (1999).
I'm sure GADV will make sure that guests who wont be able to ride KK will be
satisfied.

trash?
I dunno
if you will ever be able to compare it to cp man, until you go there, you will be under
your own illusive images on the computer. GADV to CP is near impossible, but if this
rate of cleanup keeps up, it could have a rival.......

it'll be like CP in 2004. . .just my two cents.

category along with CP very soon. GADV has been improving at a constant rate.
With the addition on Kingda Ka they have obtained more media coverage of
enthusiast alike.
The coaster capital of the world might be getting
challenger.
PS: I agree with sixflagsfreak56. The park depends on
it's staff and how well they can make their customers feel welcomed and
happy.

next season.
Big Coaster-Kingda Ka over Top Thrill Dragster
Airtime Filled Coaster-Millenium Force over Nitro
Wooden Coaster-Rolling
Thunder over Gemini
Invert-Raptor over Batman:The Ride
Flyer:
Superman:Ultimate Flight
Floorless: Medusa
SFGAdv has a lot more
variety. Keep in mind that the coasters that I used up there are my favorites, not the
favorites of everybody. If you want to add something onto there go ahead.

[b]True, but let's compare
CP and GAdv as of next season.

over Nitro
Wooden Coaster-Rolling Thunder over Gemini

CP also has Magnum and WT.
And for the
wooden coaster, Gemini is not a wooden coaster. You should have compared Rolling
Thunder to Mean Streak. Gemini has wooden supports, but steel track. (very fun
btw)

trash, the trash left out in the paths and ride queues.

would imagine there over 300 ft now, probably not far from being done the tower
supports. We'll have to just be patient and wait for another update either from
gadvs site or somewhere else like ECC....
