After trying very hard to build a model that works, I

decided to take a break from KNEX for a while. Now I'm back and have plans

to build a water coaster similar to Roller Soaker at Hersheypark. Yes, I know the

motor isn't supposed to get wet but I have a plan so it won't. I don't

want to tell what the plan is so I can be the first to successfully build a water coaster.

Wish me luck since construction will begin tonight.
The layout will probably

be:
Station
Lift
drop
turn
drop
turn
drop
turn
brakes
turn

*Please note that all turns are 180 degree

turns.*

Wow, wakey! You actually said something

positive for a change. At least I hope that was positive but I do have a plan. All I

have to do is see if it works. But first, I need to figure how to get the water like the

fountains and the curtains to work.

Well unfortunately I decided to turn my water

coaster into a floorless model. I will hopefully complete this. Construction will begin

soon, probably tonight, after I finish up my homework (and I'm only in 8th

grade...lol). I will be building the coaster backwards to ensure that everything works.

I will try my best to create "realistic" supports for Shipwreck.

I don't think a floorless has been either though.

I had an idea to make "realistic" inverted supports but I didn't like

them so I decided to switch to an easier type of "realistic" steel (using

knex to make the supports for a actual steel roller coaster) supports.

If you're

confused with the half hill/half drop, please tell me so I can so explain it a little more

clearly. I will be building baclwards starting with the station.

I understand the half hill because you are trying to

elevate the turnaround. But how can you have a 1/2 drop? A drop is a drop. It starts

flat, slopes down, then flattens. How can you have a half drop?

Sorry if that was a little unclear. I hopefully will be

making a blueprint for it so you can better understand it. What I meant was a drop

from the turnaround that goes all way to the ground.

I have changed the layout a little bit. There will be a

drop, then a 180 degree turn before the lift.

Unfortunately, the only way I'll have pics is if

my dad lets me borrow his digital camera. Right now, I have half the station and half

the drop completed.

Yea, except I know how to use his camera...

OK, I was thinking about changing the name and changing the layout...

If I happen to change both, since whether I change the name or the layout,

they're both going to change, I will not release either because I have some ideas

that no one, at least I think no one, has ever done before. I don't want to release

them right now because these little immature kids seem to be stealing everyone

else's ideas...

Also, If I change the name, I will include a story to go

along with it...
