Well I took down my launched invert to paint and carpet my room...and to make way for mybest model yet. So far my Xcelerator model has a complete tower and a functional launch...yet to be put together. I plan to add asmuch details as possible such as paint, lights, lines, buildings, and surroundings. Here are soem pics of the progress.

How many sets do you have? Is there anywhere where you can get sets for less then $200. I really want one, but it doesn't seem like it's worth the money.

Its well worth the money...just you have to sacrifice money in the begining. You buy a set (best to get the Dragon) and from ther you don't need to buy much more. Everything is sold separately so adding more track or support connections are cheap. And the supports are just Genova 1/2" CPVC Pipe...found at Lowes for $2.50 per 10ft. The detail you can put into these coasters is much more than Knex and the sets are more realistic. All in all, I would reather put money into my CD models than my Knex.

My trains will be custom...I am only using the wheels from the CD train. That last pic is the motor assmebly for the launch. It is a winding drive system just like Xcelerator, that will eliminate friction. It will be controlled by a microcontroller, in which I have to program to fully automate the launch.

Well I tweaked some of the track yesterday to make it look even more like Xcelerator. I moved the towers one hole closer together and made the top hat less pointy. Pics later.

Very nice, I love the Intamin quad-rail you made with the track. I can't wait to see the rest of this.

BTW, are you still working on Goliath?

Well I was going to get the parts needed, but I was lazy. But now that I look at it, to make it good and strong would take more money that I want to put into it...money that could go towards my CD models and college. I was heading towards canceling it and the weather sided in favor of that. The turnaround after the drop tipped over a little, and now the track is screwed up. So, I'm probably not going to finish it.

Couldn't you just make it a Stealth recreation?

I think Xcelerator would look better than stealth. It has a better layout.

It does...Stealth is just Xcelerator if you replaced the two overbank turns with a hill.

That looks really good.

Have you been working on it at all lately and do you have pictures if possible?
