Remember that the Model of the Year Contest ends Saturday June 17th. When you are done with your model, post it in the special Model of the Year forum under the SSCoasters Site area of the forums.


Question for entraints: Do you think you will struggle to finish your model by the deadline? If several members are, the deadline might be extended a week.

Er... yes I am. I'm building something big, the biggest i've done, and i'm going to be busy so Ireally doubt I will finish by then. I hope it gets delayed, or else it will be a cluttered mess, lol!

I thought the deadline was at the end of December! Oh well, i'm homeschooled so I have lots of time... I better get busy!

I have completed my model, but I am still working on its calculations. I'll have it done by the 17th though.

Yea I got exams coming up and lots of assignments. Another week would be great.

I won't finish, I have exams, and I have been very busy lately. So that week wouldn't do me any good, it may do others good though.

Yes I agree another week would be fantastic...I am done with the coaster but there is alot of things I want change but now I have finals and I go on vacation from the 10th to the 17th!!!! so I have only to the 10th that extra week really would be very helpful!

Exams are next week, but I've got half days all next week. Extending it a week wouldn't hurt. Plus, my weekend is booked.

It really wouldn't matter for me, unless I built Challenger super fast or it got extended another week(not going to happen though). Good luck to all of you that need the time.

Another week would be really good. I kind of burnt my hands a little hot gluing the paper on Troglodyte together, and I have exams this week. I will finish it on time, but it would relieve some stress (and would produce more quality models) if it was delayed a week.

I think you should extend it 2 weeks. In the extra week I will just be studying for exams I have on the 22nd and 23rd and will not even add one piece to my coaster until after.

I think at least another week would be needed for me because i haven't even started my coaster. It would also let me do my best on my coaster and not rush through it.

Because we managed to set up our first contest. SSC awards has a golden model and a best overall model. This is for innovative-ness and creativity. The winner actually gets stuff, too!

No... I felt we needed a contest to create renewned interest. It is called the Model of the Year, but that's just a name for the contest.

What I think we need is an Innovation of the Year award that showcases the best K'nex ideas.
