i think if you wanna slow them down just use the
peices that spin with something to keep em in place. (sorry hard to exsplain)

Wow, me and you (SScoasters) must think the same,
remeber me talking about my Dragster model and how I was going to have a new
system of braking? Yea, the only one I had seen was your tutorial on the website, but
I didn't really like it so I made some attempts at my own, I then made the one
that you did except it is motorized and I used scotch tape to hold the stick up. I
actually loosedend up the tape because in my tests, I would shoot it down the track,
usually it hit the chain too fast and the dog (what the stick on the bottom of the train is
called) would sometimes bounce off of the links. By looseining the stiffness it will
travel about a foot at a pretty quick speed (droped from 6ft) and slow down and stop, I
keep my motor on so once it stops it can bring itself into the station.
Now I
need to mess with my Hot Wheels booster for my launch!

BTW I never did see your idea till now, but I still give you
credit. I do want to test with the rubberband though on my brakes see if it is loose
enough to slow down realsitically.

I will be soon, but what I meant, is that instead of a
rubber band I used scotch tape to hold up the "Stick" on the bottom of the
car.
