I don' even consider Aussum a coaster. It was nowhere near straight. The pullout is so small that the train almost stops! And it's launched from the straight up area not the flat section. There is some parts where there isnt even any supports on Aussum. But this thread isn't abou Aussum so let me steer away from that...

This coaster could have been MUCH better. It was still good though. I understand that you had a time limit and a limited amount of space while KNCC had an entire gym to build in. Props to you1 :tmbs

I just hate it that a record is being broken, by a coaster that isn't really worth it. If you understand what i mean.

This is the reason why the height record is almost like the HR record in baseball. Its just as tainted, just in a different way. There might as well be an "*" next to the record, lol.

WHOA!!!! That was one heck of a bump!! I'm Hopefully getting back together with cosi and we will actually make a video this time. But I was wondering, what would the best song to use for this? any suggestions? I was thinking a nice Kick-Butt Rock song.

And now the burning question to be answered, I got to keep some parts from cosi but not even close to the amount that was loaned to me back in the summer.

I just saw this topic and although I think the twist could have been worked on a little better, I think you boys did a great job. These heighth records these days never seize to amaze me. I remember when we were building 10-15 feet tall and that was the record. I can't believe we're getting this much bigger! Now we just need about 5 of us SSC members to get together and combine our pieces and break it again!

^It's too bad the record gets more important than actual realism, though. I have seen so many attempts on breaking the world record and most of their looks were just ugly.
What I'm trying to say is that the next record holder should be a more realistic coaster, but I have been saying this for quite a while and no-one just cares.

Bad News Guys, there will not be a video made because cosi's tax levy didn't pass. They're to shut down with in 20 days or when their cash reserves go dry.

Woah. That's pretty unexpected! Usually you would hear something about this in Detroit. It's kinda scary seeing as last month I was looking at it driving over that awesome new bridge that just opened over summer.

New closing date, Dec. 31st. Some Friends and I are rallying for a petition to fund cosi, doubt it will work, we're still going to try. The only good thing that could come from this is that I may get some of the knex they have in storage. (about 1.5 Gumps)
