** When opening a file that I've uploaded for these contests, make sure you do the following....
First unzip the file, if you don't do this, the file will not work.
Next double click the unzipped file, this will open RCT2 and load all custom scenary.
You should be all set after that! **

Ok here are the Rules:

1.) All contestants have 3 weeks from the release of the scenario to turn in their park.

2.) All parks must be emailed in zip format to cjfunk@purdue.edu, please also include a text file with your name, the name of your park, and your user name here on the forums. (If you don't follow this format, or I can't open up your park, then you will not be in the running for the contest.)

3.) The scenario I send out can not be edited in size or scenery. This means, you just use the scenario I send out.

4.) Trainers are allowed, but not to change the park size or scenery selection.

5.) Parks will be judged on aesthetic beauty, meaning architecture, ride layout, and park appeal. They will not be judged primarily on the appeal to the guests. This means you don't really have to focus of food and restrooms, but more on rides and scenery.

6.) You are allowed to edit the landscape as much as you want, just as long as the park size doesn't exceed the predetermined size.

7.) Please stick to the determined theme for each contest.

8.) After you submit your park to the email address above in the correct format, I will then add your name to a list in thread for the actual contest.

9.) Each contestant may only enter 1 park!

Remember....Have fun and be creative!

As more rules come to mind, I will add them here!

I'm not thinking of anything too big, but it'd be judged by how it looks and not so much as how highly guests think of it.

I'm also going to push for an actual award and contest forum, just like Model of the Month, or at least a dedicated thread for entries and that stuff.

So far we have 3 people, let everyone know!

I just hope a lot of people would like to do this
We could do really small parks, or really big ones, certain themed ones, all the good stuff.

Let me know what you think and if you want in

Cool I'm glad we are getting people.
I think I'll toss the scenario together tonight, so everyone is working on the same level. And I'll write up the rules and everything and post them asap

I've got a Question. In rule 5, it says "They will not be judged primarily on the appeal to the guests. This means you don't really have to focus of food and restrooms, but more on rides and scenery.", does this mean the park rating can be like 20 and there are no guests, but I can still win by having a pretty park? This is tycooning, not "loose all your money"

^He is looking for the best themeing and feel, who cares about "tycooning". If you want you can please your guests, he is just saying you might lose because of the non-realistic looking stalls...

^Exactally, this contest isn't for park functionality, it's just appeal. Like someone looks at your park and is like wwow that looks really good, really realistic, really creative.
