plenty more ss sets to make a recreation of millenium force (i have a huge basement)

so does anybody have an estimate as to how many it takes so i can go out and get that

number

MF is a BIG coaster. To make a SS version that

works, you will need many sets. The lift will have to be like 10 feet tall at least. I

don't know if it is possible to make a working version that looks realistic too.

I think ill go for 8 feet i

mean cmon 10 my ceiling isnt even that high but i have the confidence and a lot of

free time on my hands. Its just a matter of not giving up. I think its very possible

because think about it it goes from a 300ft gruesome drop into a 165 ft. overbanked

turn i mean look at the differnce in height, but im worried about the thrid hill at 180 or

185 ft. because no knex coaster makes it over a taller hill after going through a shorter

one, but otherwise it can be pulled off realistically

Being that it's a K'nex coaster I

don't think It'll make it unless the lift is like 10 ft. But good luck. Can you

post some photos of it when you start?

We shall see i love how

everyone says it wont work rite away and then in the end bam it works so bring on the

negativity and yes i will get pics its just that my parents bought me 2 rr sets today but i

need 2 ss cause of the cars and chain links so that plus another sets and lots of other

knex sets should get me the amount of materials that i need

You are going to need a lot more than 2 RR and 2 SS

sets! The supports alone will take a couple big ball factories! Also, the

next time you post CoasterGod, use commas and periods. It makes it easier to read.

You think 4 wont be

enough well that is 92 ft. of track and besides the supports arent complicated on the

lift, its pretty simple actually and i have other stuff also hey that reminds me where

can i get cheap big ball factories.

ebay.....ebay.....ebay. Pretty much Ebay. umm.. I would

also search all over the internet for them at big corporations: target,walmart...

B) but if you cant find any

there, always look at ebay. they always have them pretty cheap there.

B)

Side note: if

you buy them from ebay. Always make sure the person that is selling you the item has

had good reviews... <_<

Each big ball factory has

3000+ pieces and your saying that it takes two of them 6000+ piece just for supports.

 . I really dont think so

because mf supports arent complex like woodies. Just take a look at the real thing

before making assumptions like that.

Does the Big Ball Factory have 3000+ pieces? If

so then it may not have 3000 of the pieces you really need. I suggest getting some of

the grab bags from the K'nex website. That way, you can get exactly the

pieces you need. They have a huge bag of rods for about $50... and

that's thousands of rods. They have two different sized grab bags of

connectors for about $20 and $25 each. For about $10 each, you

can get a smaller size grab bag of rods that match the colors of the SS and RR rods

and I actually did order a couple of those grab bags.

As for Millenium

Force, I also doubt you can build it to scale and get it to work, but I would seriously

love to be proven wrong on this. So please make your best effort to set me straight. I

look forward to seeing what you come up with.

BTW, I like the racer.

All 3000 peices would not be useful. The BigBall Factory has a lot of red 90 degree

connectors and things like that aren't very good for building up if you know what

I mean. The Factory also has very few grey rods.
I have seen MF! I

have seen and rode MF since 2000 when it opened! I know what MF supports

look like. I would like to see you try and make a decent looking, fully functional,

realistic recreation of MF. I guaruntee you taht you will run out of support pieces with

only 2 SS sets and 2 RR sets (unless you make really flimsy supports) Mark my

words!

useful.

That's exactly my point.

Most sets probably have very few

of any given piece. I stress again those Grab Bags. B)

Yet

again, I agree with Westside7th. The Screamin Serpent has a very skimpy

supply of rods and connectors. Also, I don't really care if your MF recreation

looks realistic or not. I would just be impressed if it works. All of us here understand

the limitations of the SS train, so I'm sure we'll all understand if you have

to make some changes to your MF to get it to work.

But, please

don't be discouraged from trying. B)

Its ok I like all of the

negativity it only pushes my motivaiton to the next level each time. I probably know

more than you westside about MF because I live for that coaster and I went to cedar

point and rode it and I definitely know its support structure. All it takes is the right

pieces, the right amount and Ill build it in a second nice and scale and working, but

because im not full of cash i cant just go out and by whatever I want so that is going to

be my only obstacle between me and the finished product of MF.

:D And westside you were

the one that said the big ball factory would be efficient for this task but now you said

that it was useless so could you please explain that to me. One last thing is that you

seem to be forgetting that ss and rr have the track and flexi rods and track connectors.

O yea and for sure I will look into those handbags

I have even modified the

motor provided. feel free to use my tips to make a better motor for yourself:

1) cut off the wires connecting to the battery pack
2) use a wire stripper to

get rid of some of the rubber over the wire
3) take a 9v battery and hook a wire

connector to it
4) get a control device of some sort (switch)
5) attach the

wires to the switch and you have got yourself a more powerful motor and I know this

because I have tested it myself and plan to use it for MF lift hill

I never said that 2 Factories would be efficient!

Don't put words in my mouth! I said it would take 2 Factory sets to build

the supports! Read the posts more carefully!
I don't think you

know more about MF than me but I don't want to argue about it. I'll just

tell you that while MF was being built, CP's website hosted over a hundred

construction pics. I have all of them saved on my computer. The pis are no longer

available but I have them all!

Just because you have

construction pics of MF doesnt mean anything at all. I dont have time to argue about

this. If the factory was good enough for the supports then it should be considered

efficient.

Three problems: Third hill (not enough speed), pretzel turn

around(lose to much speed), and last over bank (not enough speed). Good

Luck!

Wow, I just said

those same word about not having time to argue. Think of better comebacks next

time. And there you go again with putting words in my mouth. I never said that the

Factory was efficient for supporst. I said it would take two Factory sets to make the

supports.
When can we see pics of the actual ride?
