recreations, the support structure does not, nor ever is perfect! I have
not seen one knex recreation where the support structure (or the track to be quite
frank) is perfect, and exactly like its real-world counterpart......
Even when
I plan recreations (I may have one coming up) I try to think about how I can make the
supports strong yet convincing enough that it is a recreation, for example, on my
half-way completed X-Flight, I tried to make the supports as realistic as I could, and I
think I did succed to some point, but they were in no way completely perfect.....
And the gist that I am getting from this arguement is that the support structure
has to be exactly like the real MF one. Now in my opinion, I think to make a
convincing MF you would have to have the lift hill structure similar, and perhaps the
hills having the same type of supports, considering that it can be done easily with knex,
but for the rest of the supports, I would just want it to look like it can hold it up.....
Also the track DOES NOT have to be to scale. I wouldn't care
if he made a 10ft lift hill, then made a 3ft hill for the 2nd hill, and a 1ft hill for the third.
It would still be awsome that there is a MF recreation period. I think that MF can be
done, with a lot of sets (3-5 in my opinion). MF isn't that complicated of a
coaster, unlike other compact coasters.......
I
don't think you know more about MF than me but I don't want to argue
about it. I'll just tell you that while MF was being built, CP's website
hosted over a hundred construction pics. I have all of them saved on my computer.
The pis are no longer available but I have them all!
Also, like I said, knowing all that
stuff may be helpful for a NoLimits recreation where you are trying to recreate
everything down to the last detail (like me ) but not for knex, knex
is a completely different medium to work with.....It is the most realistic type of coaster
model, but deffinitley not the perfect one.....
Good luck on the project, and
I do hope it works out well!

tyrant for pointing out everything I would have said in my next post to everyone, very
good writing. And definitely no it wont take 2 months to start I will begin soon I am
just on the step where I'm buying all the necessary products and amount to build
MF. I will definitely finish it as I have all my other coasters. I'm saying it just
wont be finished real quickly it takes time, but nonetheless it will be finished for all to
see. P.S. I forgot who came up with the handbag idea but could you help me find out
where to look for them because I cant seem to find anything with a lot of
pieces.

find anything with enough pieces that you want, tough luck. They will offer new grab
bags frequently so just wait for new ones to be featured.

canadian!! so im going to probably get 2 more for a grand total of 5 sets
that i will have which should be enough ffor MF because man those lift supports drain
pieces, but after that everything should be a breeze

drop-to-level transition very gradual and smooth. This will result in more less speed
loss. Keep it up!

moron if I want to build this I need the god damn sets. You are really stupid and +
they dont come from ebay. Thanks Riordam for tips I can tell already the drop is quite
difficult because it's so long

have a LOT of supports. I noticed on the coaster I am building now that when I
added supports every 5in or so, the speeds increased by a lot. The more supports the
better. In the long run, that can put a hole in your supply of pieces real fast.

I'm just saying that you want all of them because they are cheap, and probably
on clearance.

far are you so far?

should do put more supports for strength on the drop or less for realism?
