[RCT2123]

Well most of you have been reading the "IDEA" thread, and I have seen a lot of interest come out of it. I have talked to BGT, and he has asked me to discuss the rules with you guys, and see what we come up with. I am pretty sure he is willing to organize it though. Here are some of my thoughts...

1. There is a specific amount of time to make park(I am thinking around 6 months)...

2. Park must have a minimum of 2 coasters...

3. Park must have a minimum of 2 flat rides...

4. Park must have a minimum of 5 stalls. i.e food, bathroom, etc...

5. Park can use any materials. i.e k'nex, legos, poster board, etc...

6. There is no limit to the amount or the size of rides in park...

7. There is no limit to the size of the park itself...

8. Park must be themed in someway...

9. Park must be updated along the way with pics...

10. Each new ride needs to be introduced to the forums. There is no specific way that you do this, you could come out and say what it is with full pics, or give hints on what is to come before you even build it and keep us guessing. Just like CW did with Behemoth. When it is done though, you must show what it is...

11. Stealing other's ideas is definetely allowed. If they build one ride and give specific enough pics so you can copy it, go right ahead. I am sure that the park owner/maker will not be happy, and the members will not be too impressed, but it is legal...

12. Realism is incouraged but not neccesary...

13. You can enter the contest whenever you want. You do not need to start right at the begining to compete...

That is all I really have for now. Feel free to say what you don't like, and what you think it should be. Also, please, suggest any ideas for rules you might have...

About the entry fee, I don't think that will work out too well, but if you want it just say so. IDK if there will be a prize then though, I will have to talk to BGT...

Not bad... my only complaint would be to switch around the coaster and flat rides. Make it minimum of two flats and three coasters. Everything else is cool with me. Thanks for organizing this.

^Ithink that it is fine the way it is...not every one has enough peices for 3 coasters

No problem guys, I am just as into this as you...

The reason I don't think it should be changed is for ^ that exact reason. Flats can take up little pieces, and can be very small. Coaster are going to take up more pieces than any flat, regardless of size. That is why it is that way...

Now that I think of it, I could incorperate this with Fant...a future project due to the size of it, depending on the start time. Will this be inbetween the Christmas contest and the next MOTY? If so, for TM one and two, will we be able to enter our individual coasters, or will the members building parks be forbidden from entering a TM during the park contest?

If I wasn't gonna build Deluge, which would be a bit too complicated for a park, I would definately enter this contest. Maybe the next one that comes around. It'll be a great way to show off our mini-coaster skittlez and our overall.... creative-ness.

Which is why, I have no problem in entering a second one. Of course, it all depends on how this works out.

Sounds cool, I won't enter it, but it will be interesting. The guidelines seem good, but I would lower the flat rides to 2 as to save more pieces for the coasters. Otherwise, its a good idea that I would like to see.

rollerdude: I am sure you can build a park and enter one of the coasters into the TM. I don't see what would be wrong with that...

Oh, wait, one quick question:

For the theme, can we do a Six Flags sort of thing or pull a Disney? Well, I mean, can we say it's "owned by a company" (Like saying it's a new Busch Garden sort of continent themed park)?

I think this Is a cool idea. I would do it. How about the parks are scaled down to Lego people size? That way we don't have flat rides bigger then the coasters. I'm sure everyone has a few Lego people.

I am so interested in this. The only problem is that the coasters have to be small, or else you will run out of pieces. I might do this sometime in the future though...
