Introducing the second annual SSCoasters Winter Contest. Last year it was called the Holiday contest, but it is has obviously been changed. As with the contest last year, this contest features limitations that the other contests do not.

This year's limitations:

• Four foot tall lift hill or less
• No launch devices of any kind
• Maximum of two chain lifts
• Second lift limited to two feet high

Other than those limits, you are free to use however many pieces and how long a coaster you want. As with the Model of the Year contest, a member vote will reduce the entrants to two, and the staff will choose the winner.

$35.00 over PayPal
5 entries minimum

The Deadline:
February 29th, 2008

Oh, and just a tip, I have learned that saying "OMG I NEED TEH MONEY SO VOITE 4 ME!!!!" does NOT work.

I did this once, but it backfired. It just annoys everyone, and gives you less votes. But, I only got $5 in my account, so... *builds*, haha.

Too bad my lift is about 6 feet tall. The first drop is just 4 feet though, that's because half of the lift is on top of my desk.

Yes it does. A chain on a flat surface in the station does not count however.

if you build a dueler, does it count as 2 chain lifts?

BGTKing, I have an example of what my coaster will be like. I guess it is ruled out of the contest, but I just want to know for sure. The main part of the roller coaster is a little less than 4 feet tall, because it is on my desk. The lift itself is taller though.

Launches are not allowed to hopefully keep rides to a smaller length to create a level playing field.

^Rules don't state no duelers, so I don't see why not.

Jogumpie, if doesn't meet the limitations, it is not allowed.

If, for example, Gump's lift started at table level (so it was less than 4ft) but the initial track out of the station went below table level, would that be fine? (Keep in mind, the first lift is still 4ft.)
