this is kinda old news but ceaderfair decided that since they dont theme after movies like paramount did that they should change the name and re theme all of there italian job coasters. the new name is BackLot Stunt Coaster.

Thats pretty stupid. I liked Paramounts alot better than Cederfair. but at least the coaster is still there

Paramount started taking the thrill factor out of rides. After 2001, when they added Hypersonic XLC to King's Dominion, the most thrilling coaster they added (minus Borg/Stealth's relocation) was the crappy flyer (Tomb Raider) to Canada's Wonderland. They were even removing coasters from some parks. King's Island lost 2 coasters and gained just Italian Job between 2002 and the Cedar Fair purchase, and Great America lost 2 and gained none in that same time span. Cedar Fair will be changing that around. None of the new coasters coming to the former Paramount Parks would have happened under Paramount.

KI- Firehawk, 2009 rumored B&M hyper
KD- Dominator in 2008
CW- Behemoth in 2008
CGA- Woodie in 2009

And the reason that the movie theme names are changing is because Cedar Fair doesn't have the right to continue using those names, so they have to change them. And it's just a name, who really cares?

At least it isn't a major decline in quality for the coaster (if they don't take out the theming). I actually think the new name is easier to say than Italian Job: Stunt Track.

Meh, I'm just happy that since Cedar Fair owns Carowinds now we might get some better coasters following Borg. Oooh, and we're getting rid of all that Nickalodean kid shit.
