Alright, i've seen a lot of tutorial requests and i might as well try and fill some. I've seen a corkscrew request, and that i can do. I'll make a corkscrew (hopefully tonight), and try to get some pics for a tutorial.

Now, you can request a tutorial, but when you do, make sure it's DOABLE, meaning i'm not making a 7 foot cobra roll or something. Also, specify the track type (inverted, regular) so i don't give you the wrong type.

AND DON'T FLOOD ME WITH REQUESTS LIKE MY SIG SHOP. Thanks.

There aren't many inclined loops around here, do you think you could try that? For the size, not too big, probably 3 greys or less.

Edit: Just realized this is my 200th post!

alright, i'll give it a shot. I'm working on the corkscrew...it looks pretty good, but it's kinda short for it's width. It could almost go for a stand-up heartline.

Corkscrew Tutorial

Alright, there are a lot of pictures, so bear with me. The descriptions are at the TOP of the pictures.

Start with this as a base:
Posted Image
Close up on the connectors. These are symmetrical on both sides. IT IS ABSOLUTELY NECESSARY THAT THEY ARE IN THIS ORIENTATION!
Posted Image
Construct these pieces:
Posted Image
Attach them to the base like so(both sides are symmetrical)(phase 1):
Posted Image
Attach them to the base like so(both sides are symmetrical)(phase 2):
Posted Image
Build these three pieces twice:
Posted Image
Closeup of one of the pieces:
Posted Image
Closeup of another piece:
Posted Image
Connect these two pieces(for both sets of pieces):
Posted Image
Now connect the other piece like so(for both sets of pieces):
Posted Image
Attach them to the base(they each attach the same way):
Posted Image
Here's a closer shot of how to attach them:
Posted Image
Here's the next chunk you'll want to build(don't forget the 45* connectors!):
Posted Image
MAKE SURE THE CONNECTORS HERE ARE IN THIS EXACT ORIENTATION!
Posted Image
MAKE SURE THE CONNECTORS HERE ARE IN THIS EXACT ORIENTATION!
Posted Image
You'll need 12 green rods and 2 granite rods.
Posted Image
Attach two green rods and the granite rods to the current piece as shown here:
Posted Image
Now attach 4 green rods in the center like this:
Posted Image
Attach the rest of the rods shown here(do for both sides):
Posted Image
This is what the final piece looks like before adding it to the base:
Posted Image
Here's a picture of the new piece next to the base in the correct orientation:
Posted Image
Attach these pieces first on both sides:
Posted Image
After snapping everything else into place, you'll get this:
Posted Image
Make these two pieces. They are support pieces:
Posted Image
Attach them like so(same for both sides):
Posted Image
Make two of these(PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE WAYS THE 3-D CONNECTORS ARE FACING!):
Posted Image
Attach two green rods to both shown here:
Posted Image
Build this piece. This is the top connector:
Posted Image
Orient the pieces like this:
Posted Image
Attach them with the other piece:
Posted Image
Detail on how to attach the new piece to the rest of the structure.
Posted Image
Here's what the finished support structure looks like
Posted Image
Start by attaching two cross ties here:
Posted Image
Next, attach crossties in these two places(NOTE THE CONFIGURATION OF THE CONNECTORS!!)(same for both sides):
Posted Image
Attach a cross tie here for both sides:
Posted Image
Add flexis like this. IT MUST BE EXACTLY LIKE THIS IN ORDER FOR THE SUPPORTS TO WORK CORRECTLY! MAKE THE BROWN CONNECTORS ON THE FLEXIS AS CLOSE TO THE MIDDLE AS YOU CAN MAKE THEM!!
Posted Image
Attach the inside flexi rods(detail)(do for both sides)
Posted Image
Lower detail of the inside flexi rod attaching:
Posted Image
How the corkscrew looks with the inside flexis attached to the cross ties:
Posted Image
Add the rest of the cross ties. There are 4 cross ties per flexi rod:
Posted Image
Slip in a flexi rod into these four cross ties. This will provide extra stability:
Posted Image
How the cork looks with all of the cross ties on:
Posted Image
Make these pieces:
Posted Image
Attach them like so for both sides:
Posted Image
Snap the flexis on the rest of the cross ties and you get this:

Overview of the cork and track without tubing.

Here's what you get with tubing on:

A lot of of the pieces in the 2nd step dont have to be there, and you can probably do some replacing with grey rods or whatever.

An inclined loop is a loop in a slanted way. Like the one on Minebuster.
I love the Corkscrew CC10. I will definatley use it for my next coaster.

The inclined loop is giving me a lot of trouble. I have the loop alright, but i don't know if i want to make it 45 degrees or about a 25 degree slant, or somewhere in the middle. Does anyone know what angle mantis' inclined loop is at? or any other for that matter?
