I see everyone using "Its going to be Intamin inspired" and things like that. I wanted to know the difference between the two instead of wondering aimlessly about whats the difference.

Its greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

B&M is the company which makes coasters with the distinct roar(eg. Medusa, Batman the ride, Superman Ultamite FLight and Nitro) I need some clearing up on what type of coaster you need the diffrence of.

Intamin has the box track(Kingda Ka TTD MAverick)

Those are both Roller Coaster Manufacturers. (of real roller coasters)

Bolliger & Mabillard (B&M) usually make really smooth coasters. Like Medusa, Nitro and many others.

Then Intamin is another Manufacturer. I'm not exactly sure what they are known for, so I'll leave that blank.

B&M and Intamin AG are basically the top two coaster manufacturers in the world. B&M focuses more on loopers such as inverted and floorless costers, however they do make hyper coasters.

Intamin AG focuses more towards speed and intensity. They are the makers of the hydraulic launch mechanism and are well known for their record-breaking coasters. Intamin uses a box shaped track, similar to the K'Nex track. They also make pre-fab wooden coasters.

Just don't forget that they are not the only coaster manufacturers in the world. There is also Arrow and Premier.

Examples-
Kingda Ka & Top Thrill Dragster- Intamin AG
Griffon & Shiekra- B&M
Millennium Force & El Toro- Intamin AG
Nitro & Nemesis- B&M

Really it's just the style of building coasters. Since there aren't different track styles in KNex, it's just how you build/shape your elements and which ones you use on the coaster. A loop on a B&M inspired coaster would look different than one on an intamin inspired coaster, and a zero g roll would probably be on a more B&M influenced coaster whereas a heartline roll is more of Intamin's style. However, I've noticed a lot more people just slapping on B&M FLOORLESS LAUNCH COASTER!!!! to their thread when they don't modify the car to actually be floorless, and B&M doesn't make launch coasters.

Even though it's not that long, the tl;dr version is they are just influenced by certain real life coasters. That's all there is to it.

Most of the time, B&M loopers have a predrop and then a turning drop into a loop then dive loop or immelmann.

^^Hulk launches! But B&M never made the launch.

Bolliger and Mabillard (Yeah, those are people's names) were actually engineers for Intamin but they left them and started to make their own coasters.
