hill before it. Also, the real BS has a short lift on the hill up to the turnaround so you
could use a little lift at the top of the turnaround to kind of cheat gravity.

times and never seen a short lift. Do you have a picture? I know some
out'n'back coasters have trim brakes at that point before the turn
around.
EDIt: This picture shows no lift.

of the turnaround. cedarpoint.com has POVs of many of their coasters. Here is the
Blue Streak's POV video from cedarpoint.com. If you watch closely, as you
crest the top of the turnaround, you can see a metal rail in between the two regular
rails. That is where a short chain is to help the train up the hill in case it cannot clear
the hill. Watch the video to see it. Please keep in mind that this video is the property
of Cedar Point, not me.
The video is zipped and requires QuickTime to
view.
gforce, I have been going to Cedar Point since 1994 and I know
more about the park then most of the people on this site. DO NOT QUESTION
MY KNOWLEDGE OF THE POINT!

I swear I've never
seen a lift there and the picture I have shows no lift. Once I get the video to work...

isn't very long. It is just a short little strip. You see them on some other
woodies. I know there is a lift because i have ridden the Blue Streak many times and
remember hearing a little chain clankity clank in that particular spot.

season! I am pretty sure it is a short chain. If the video doesn't work, try
downloading it off of Cedar Point's website. Go to Inside the Park and then to
the coasters and then to Blue Streak and it gives you a link to the POV. Even if it is
just some chain dog catches, you could put a small lift there to simulate the catches.

picture but it still isnt very clear. Looks too thin to be a lift, but as Shockwaver said it
might just be chain dogs. Chain dogs would make the sound you would hear no the lift
chain. I always sit in the back so I can't hear it.

the the chain dog rattles over. There is another good example of it on another coaster
@ CP. The Wildcat has a few of those. Even though it isn't a chain, it
could be on a K'nex coaster. Looks good.

already torn it down! Sorry didn't make it look like a woodie, and
didn't quite follow the layout with the turns! K'nex don't go in
those directions.

an anti rollback thing like on lifts. If to many overweight americans sit in the back and
it doesent clear the hill than no problem. I think they have it on that hill is because the
one before it is smaller and they dont want to go down another hill because more
work. But if the hill before it was bigger than no worries because there is only so far
back it can go. fwew i need to shorten my posts lol.
