So I got up this morning around 6:00 and waited for my cousins and uncle to arrive at my house to make the 3 1/2 hour trek to KD. I will say that I was extremley nervous this morning when I woke up. They arrived at my house at about 6:20. We left at 6:30. We stopped at a Hardee's on the way there to get some breakfast. 7/10 but It can't beat Bojangels which is deffinetly 11/10.

Anyways we got to Kings Dominion about 10:35 and sure enough sitting out there in the old bus parking lot was Dominator and it looked intimedating(sp). I noticed that the parking lot was almost empty which can only mean there is hardly anyone there.

We got into the park at about 10:45 and headed straight for Dominator. We thought this line would be crazy long but to our suprise we only had a 45min wait for the front. My brother and my uncle rode the very back and they had a 5min wait then they got back inline and rode it agian before we ever got on the first time. Finally we got on and the floors went down and off we were. This was my first B&M coaster so I was shocked at how smooth it was. The drop is amazing and uncomparable to anything else I've riddin. The loop has awsome Hangtime and the overbanks give some crazy G's. The Cobra Roll was fun too. Coming off the MCBR I was prepared for these "butterflys" but to my suprise I didn't get any but still got plenty of floater air. The interlocking corks are awsome as well. 10/10. It is my favorite ride and it is a deffinet must ride i the front. It feels as if your flying because its smooth. Front Seat on Dominator, how's that for a first ride of the day?

Next we went to Valcano but it was closed and they said that a part broke on it and it wouldn't arrive untill next week. So we didn't get to ride Valcano.

Then we tried to find Flight of Fear but after searching for about 10mins we found that it would open at 12. So we went over to Anaconda to ride that before flight of fear.

Anaconda is a fun Arrow ride. It was a walk on. The drop is pretty cool and the under water tunnel is cool aswell. The loop and sidewinder are the same as any other, tight and extreme G's. the twister section is fun and the Corks are really slow and fun. 8/10 It is now my 4th. Too my suprise I didn't get that "butterflys" feeling on this one either.

We went over to Backlot Stunt coaster and rode that. Its fun and there is no airtime at all untill you fly out of the tunnel but I did not get the "butterflys" feeling on this. 8/10

We then went back to flight of fear and it was open. The themeing is great and the launch is fun. The Speggethi bowl is fun aswell. Only bad part is waiting in line it is really loud when it launches and people scream. Oh yeah as my train was about to leave, right after "all clear" the LIM stopped but was fixed in a minuite so off we went. 9/10.

Next me and my uncle rode Avalanch. Its fun for what it is but nothing compared to the other coasters. 7/10.

After that we rode Shockwave. It was a walk on. Ok, The only reson I rode this was for the experience and credit but you should not. The restraints suck and hurt really badly on anything. The loop is to hard and really feels bad. The helix sucks and hurt way too much. And if you sit in the front, on the airhills you basicly stop at the top then get thrown down by the force of the back. Overall this ride really sucked. Its the only one at KD that sucks. 1/10. I didn't get "butterflys" on this ride. hmm whats happining?

Grizzly was roped off at the start so we went to Rebel Yell. The strange thing is that they run both sides as forwards now. This was a walkon and there was actually only 1 other person waiting when we got on. Fun ride, pretty bumppy, the lapbar gets slamed into you and tightens up at the hill that turns around. 7/10. Same as before no "butterflys" for me.

Hurler was running so we went to that. Our ride op was gay though and was trying to hit on guys that were riding it. It was a walkon aswell. Its a fun ride and has good airtime but Carrowinds has a better one. Its not as bumpy. 8/10. I didn't get the felling on this ethier.

Next was Grizzly because they finally opened it up. Walk on. I forgot how much fun this ride it. I like how its back in the woods. We saw the remains of Hypersonic sitting in a field when we were going up the lift. 8/10 but it beats hurler by a little. No feeling on this one.

Then we went back to anaconda and got 2 more rides on that. 8/10 as before. Still a walkon. Still no feeling.

Finally was dominator. We were expecting a long line but we got up into the station and there was no one there. It was a one train wait for the front so we did that. we got back in line did it agian, and agian, and agian. They were all walk ons which is wierd for this being a new ride. I got 4 rides on the front car and 6 on the back, including my first ride. Bringing my total to 10 rides on Dominator. 10/10 as always and it was a walk on everytime. The ride op told us we should ride another coaster after the 3rd time but we just ignored her.

I bought a onride photo and a sweet dominator shirt. My brother took a photo of me on it the first time with my camra but I still wanted the onride photo.

We left the park about 5:25 and went home.

This was the best trip to a theme park I have ever had. I rode all the coasters that were open.

Total Tally:
Dominator x10
Flight of Fear x1
Anaconda x3
Hurler x1
Grizzly x1
Rebel Yell x1
Baclot Stunt Coaster x1
Avalanch x1
Shockwave x1 and my last hopefully because that ride is really crap.

Um, you only get "butterflies" on drop towers. Coasters almost never do.

I'm glad you rode all the coasters, though, or that would have been a waste of a trip :P and it sounded like most of them were good.

Yeah Domonator is a great ride. I rode it a ton when it was at Geauga Lake, best ride there. Sounds like a good time. I need to get out there and ride Domonator again.

Yea...Drop towers give you butterflies. For me though, when it goes down, my calfs feel all wierd...I don't have much fat there to flap around, nearly all muscle.

BUT, I've got stomach aches from rides plenty of times, especially Hurler.

With Shockwave, or any other TOGO standup, you need to ride it in the front row. You also probably had your restraint too high. I kept the top of the OSTRs right above my shoulders and everything was fine.

Too bad Volcano was closed. It looks like the best ride in the park. At least you gave a great report about this park. Every other report I read about it pretty much says the park sucks.

^I did ride front row, for everything except backlot stunt coaster. And my restraints were at a pefect height were they didn't hurt unless we moved. and when you start moving you can't adjust them. Kings dominion is a great park. It's my closet too.

TH: I used to. Thats why I didn't ride that many. I hope it stays this way so I can ride some more.

EDIT: ohh yeah RD, everything except the loop is re-painted.

Rollerdude, Volcano is far from the best park. IMO, it is extremely overrated, probably my least favorite invert not including V-SLC clones. Dominator by far would be the best in the park.

Lazor, so maybe you won't ever be skipping rides anymore when you go to parks? Seems like you had a good time on KD's collection.

It's not really bumping over one day.

Anyways, sounds like a great time. Dominator's a great ride, and now GL is nothing without it.
