Ok, well this is a noobish question but I don’t want to be any delayed on this coaster like having to start over or anything but what style should I build.
Steel or Wooden.
I am bout to have 3ss and a couple of bonus pieces[eBay has been having really good deals lately :)]
I was thinking of making a diving coaster [all my steels will be going on my desk to save pieces] or a flyer with a normal lift.
If i do make a wooden it will be small but people are always like start small or don't do a suspended do a hyper and stuff like that.

I am starting construction tomaro dec 1!

I am willing to let people say to close this thread because I do know its a noobish question.

Even if you had 6 ss I don't think you would have enough for a woodie. Go for a dive machine.

Well these should explain, Ihave no idea if this is an immelmann but it looks like a half loop with a corkscrew. I havent put supports on it yet so don't say anything bout the sturdiness. Vote if I should keep it?. This coaster is also up for a name.

this looks very like the one im making. i have a vertical drop, a 90 degree immelmann and so on. its strange!

nice by the way. just as you said, the supports must be stronger.

^ It's not on any real dive coasters, but dont let that hinder you ;)
I think that the first part of the drop (the crest) needs to be a ton smaller, like this:
http://rcdb.com/ig2662.htm?picture=40
The pullout/in between the drop and the sidewinder also needs to be a lot bigger and wider.

I agree to be a dive coaster the crest needs to be a lot smaller, and the pullouts need to be bigger. Also the top of the sidewinder needs to be banked less. Like this http://rcdb.com/ig2662.htm?picture=26

You don't have alot of support yet, make it an immelmann.

I say keep the Sidewinder and turn the Dive loop into a big Sea Serpant. That would be pretty cool, and a first on a Diver. Make the crest smaller aswell.

^This is the inverted version, which is slightly different.

This one is a sit-down sea serpent:

^ I was going to build one of those on fire dive instead of a cobra role.

use triple flexies on the exit of the side winder.

That, my friend, is a roll over, and is inverted like ^^he said, and is made by vekoma, AND is usualy only on SLC (standard 689). Change that to an Immelmann RIGHT now, B&M don't do sidewinders, but dive machines are b&M its not very realistic, also have the turn around at about 140* instead of 180.

Thanks for all the help but I’ve just decided to take down everything up to the turn and just build step by step. This crest is really giving me trouble, I did shorten it a tad and if I make it any smaller then I think it will be to sharp and the drop will be going down the middle of the box support soooo.
About the Sea Serpent if you squish the lay out that’s what it will kind of looks like but more like and immelmann and a dive loop connected. For the turn around why should I make it at 140 will it give me more speed or what?

That's good but your supports are weak.
