You see, most of our members are aged between 10 and 20. They like coasters, they spend a lot on k'nex. Of course you are trying to sell your product, but are you sure that after people bought so many k'nex they also want to spend loads of money on CD?
People on this site love k'nex, it's their holy grail. Why do you have to keep telling us that k'nex isn't realistic (True, but let us be) and that construction takes too long. (True, but it gives you the ability to make everything custom, CD has pre-molded parts here and there.)
I like CD, and I was thinking about gathering up some money, which includes working all Saturday instead of 3 or 4 hours. But the way you keep throwing the word "realism" at us really gives me doubts about the costumer service.
Is this the way you present your product? By telling us that CD is better in so many ways than k'nex. I'm sorry sir, but k'nex has it's advantages too!
Have a good day, and happy new year!

Your comment on customer service is absurd. You are worried about CD customer service because I get on a message board to defend my product? When was the last time you saw a representative from Knex on here talking about their stuff? And you have the nerve to question our customer service? Get real.
Unlike your favorite coaster modeling company, ours is made up of actual coaster engineers. We are enthusiasts, like most of you. My partner's day job is engineering real coasters. We actually have much more in common with the members of this site than you know.

About the costumer service, I do have my doubts on it, they way you just responded doesn't sound like you really care about any problems or critique we have.
I'm not criticizing CD in general, I'm just not happy about the way you keep responding to us. Don't get me wrong but CD is cool. But why do you keep telling us that k'nex is so bad compared to CD, this is a k'nex forum for the most part after all.
Point is: CD is realistic, K'nex less realistic. No need to keep telling us in every post.
That's what I'm trying to make clear.
Now can we all get along?

I'm sorry I had my doubts about costumers support, my thought were based on my first impression, the way you explained certainly cleared up a lot, still I think you response is a little harsh.
Second of all I don't want to get in an argument or be rude. So let's all be friend and get along.
Also, the new set... It really wants me to keep a little money reserved for the future.

You must not have seen my SheiKra or Montu models. Or another CD builders Maverick and Kingda Ka.
And to the person who said something about how fast the SheiKra model goes through the track. At the scale it is, the SheiKra model if it were a life sized coaster would slightly taller than the real SheiKra. YOu can scale the ride, but you can not scale gravity. THe pull of gravity is the same. If you took the shrink ray from Honey I shrunk the kids, and blew up the SheiKra model to the proper full size, it would run about the same speed as the real coaster.
Also, the videos seem to make the models look faster than they are. While watching the models in person, you can see the train accelerate and decelerate as it enters and exits an inversion or hill.
A lot more work goes into the CD coasters than one might think. You have to make sure EVERYTHING is secure, all clearances are big enough, make sure everthing is smooth, make sure all the track is rigid, the more rigid the better.
As far as this model goes, check out this photo of the same thing you are building:

I have 3 sets of Knex collecting dust, that I don't use because I think CD is the better deal. You get what you pay for.
