Oh, we were looking at the coaster itself, not the additional scenery. No wonder I was asking "WTF?"

Jack, will the expansion set have normal or pre-molded pieces?

Jack, CD is awesome in it's own ways, though you bring it a little offensive.

You see, most of our members are aged between 10 and 20. They like coasters, they spend a lot on k'nex. Of course you are trying to sell your product, but are you sure that after people bought so many k'nex they also want to spend loads of money on CD?

People on this site love k'nex, it's their holy grail. Why do you have to keep telling us that k'nex isn't realistic (True, but let us be) and that construction takes too long. (True, but it gives you the ability to make everything custom, CD has pre-molded parts here and there.)

I like CD, and I was thinking about gathering up some money, which includes working all Saturday instead of 3 or 4 hours. But the way you keep throwing the word "realism" at us really gives me doubts about the costumer service.
Is this the way you present your product? By telling us that CD is better in so many ways than k'nex. I'm sorry sir, but k'nex has it's advantages too!

Have a good day, and happy new year!

Maxlaam- you need to spend a little more time reading all the posts and a little less time picking the items in my posts that you find objectionable. There is a difference between trying to SELL my product and DEFENDING my product. I am defending my product against claims of being "unrealistic" in operation, when in fact , it is THE most realistic system out there. I don't have any problem selling my product right now so there is no need for me to try to shove it down anyone's throat.
Your comment on customer service is absurd. You are worried about CD customer service because I get on a message board to defend my product? When was the last time you saw a representative from Knex on here talking about their stuff? And you have the nerve to question our customer service? Get real.
Unlike your favorite coaster modeling company, ours is made up of actual coaster engineers. We are enthusiasts, like most of you. My partner's day job is engineering real coasters. We actually have much more in common with the members of this site than you know.

Well I'm sorry if you thought I meant it like that, I'm absolutely fine with CD. But every time someone criticizes CD or say something they don't agree with you always have a response to it that sounds rather offensive. Be a wise man, take a quick look at you last post, didn't it sound a little offensive?

About the costumer service, I do have my doubts on it, they way you just responded doesn't sound like you really care about any problems or critique we have.

I'm not criticizing CD in general, I'm just not happy about the way you keep responding to us. Don't get me wrong but CD is cool. But why do you keep telling us that k'nex is so bad compared to CD, this is a k'nex forum for the most part after all.

Point is: CD is realistic, K'nex less realistic. No need to keep telling us in every post.
That's what I'm trying to make clear.

Now can we all get along?

So let me get this straight....this is a Knex forum so you are free to "critique" my product, but when I defend my product I'm displaying poor customer service? What?!!! Why is it necessary to critique us to begin with? I know it is customary for people on this site to freely give "advice" or "constructive criticism" to other members. Just because I decide to return the favor does not mean I am being rude or out of line. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. At least I care enough about our products to get on a public forum and defend them. If you have doubts about customer service, why not ask people who have our kits instead of speculating? Like I said, when was the last time the owner of Knex got on here to answer your questions about his line? Can you call him directly and ask him for customer support about his products? I spend countless hours each week talking to customers on the phone and online, helping with questions and advice about our coasters. And this is a part time job for me! I am passionate about my company and our products and I won't stand by and be criticized for defending them.

^ We can, and if he (the builder) doesn't like our advice, he can build it on his own or simply go his way he wants. The builder doesn't have to follow our advice. We are just trying to help him (the builder) build this coaster as good as it can be and as realistic as it can be. And as rct2123 and other members said, CoasterDynamix coasters on here are built fast and with less updates, but it depends on the size of the coaster. These coasters are realistic, and we're here to make them more realistic. CoasterDynamix is coming up with more ideas and that's great. CoasterDynamix coasters are fast just like K'nex coasters through the layout, but CoasterDynamix does have some limitations (sp?) like were you can place the supports. Once again, we are just here to help make coasters more realistic and the best it can be.

About the coaster you need to make the first loop biger so that it can make it through the second loop.

You are certainly right, but Jack has PM's disabled so I think I'll clear things up here,

I'm sorry I had my doubts about costumers support, my thought were based on my first impression, the way you explained certainly cleared up a lot, still I think you response is a little harsh.

Second of all I don't want to get in an argument or be rude. So let's all be friend and get along.

Also, the new set... It really wants me to keep a little money reserved for the future.

MIB said: "And as rct2123 and other members said, CoasterDynamix coasters on here are built fast and with less updates, but it depends on the size of the coaster."

You must not have seen my SheiKra or Montu models. Or another CD builders Maverick and Kingda Ka.

And to the person who said something about how fast the SheiKra model goes through the track. At the scale it is, the SheiKra model if it were a life sized coaster would slightly taller than the real SheiKra. YOu can scale the ride, but you can not scale gravity. THe pull of gravity is the same. If you took the shrink ray from Honey I shrunk the kids, and blew up the SheiKra model to the proper full size, it would run about the same speed as the real coaster.

Also, the videos seem to make the models look faster than they are. While watching the models in person, you can see the train accelerate and decelerate as it enters and exits an inversion or hill.

A lot more work goes into the CD coasters than one might think. You have to make sure EVERYTHING is secure, all clearances are big enough, make sure everthing is smooth, make sure all the track is rigid, the more rigid the better.

As far as this model goes, check out this photo of the same thing you are building:
http://coasterdynami...lbum=7&item=158

http://coasterdynami...lbum=7&item=156

I have 3 sets of Knex collecting dust, that I don't use because I think CD is the better deal. You get what you pay for.

^ That first part didn't make sense. That's what I described in my post. I said it depends on the size of the coaster.

All right guys, as my expansion pack doesn't seem to be there soon I'll post-pon (sp? lol) Vampire until I get enough pieces and maybe a 4ft lift. I'm sorry, I promise I will make it one day or another. For now I plan to make a small desk coaster again.
