In case you haven't noticed, I haven't been updating Vertigo's thread very much lately. That's because I've been working on my next coaster, Magnum.

Magnum will feature a 10(ish)-foot-long launch. It will be 'dual-string', which is basically means it's just like Stealth's launch.

The only thing is, it's completely automatic. It will use a motor I salvaged from a retired RC hovercraft to 'load and cock' the 'barrel'. Then, when the train enters the launch pad, the trigger is pulled. Impossible, you say? Wait and see...

^...why before summer? And I can't tell you how it will work because, well, I don't rightly know. But when did I ever let that stop me?

DP, but with an update:
It looks like the construction workers layed down the rest of the track for the launch, and from what I can tell, they have started figuring out the launch.
It seems that they've been strenghtening the forward wheel assembly for a while now. My guess is that it needs to sustain the force of pulling the whole train forward so quickly, but I could be wrong. They also installed the back wheel assembly quite easily, which also supports my theory (since the string behind the car doesn't put force on the car at all).

Oh I get it now......Wait no I don't.I count make a launch to save my life.Anyways,It looks good to me. Do you have any plans for the layout?

Edit:I said finish this before summer because that when I'm making my la......um coaster.

Well I have an idea: shoudl I go for the biggest loop record? I'm thinking of putting this in my backyard since the launch should be about twice as powerful as Stealth's launch.
