I agree with Airdog, SoF really started every coaster you see nowadays being built here on SSC: Intangible, all of MP Thrill Rides' coasters, and Fraggie is now in the game. I'm going to have to go with that, although I do like Thunderhawk. It just wasn't different enough I guess.

I voted SOF. It was just a huge inspiration to me and it was a great model.

Yeah, um, speed of fear was NOT the first coaster to use tube supports, in entirety or partially.

And yes, voting for SoF because it's "groundbreaking" is the worst vote you could make. If you vote for SoF because you think it's better, fine, but in reality the only thing SoF has over previous tube supported coasters(coastergeekrct did an SS conversion, there may be others) is the size, which in and of itself is not groundbreaking.

I gotta give it up for Kevin though, so i chose thunderhawk. I have to say that the poll is actually much closer than i anticipated.

Thunderhawk was the first coaster I saw on this site, and is by far better then SOF. I voted correctly.

One is starting to pull ahead now!

By the way guys, I used to use partial tube supports on a lot of my models. They weren't as good as SOF or the ones today, but they still count.

I think anything that took two years to build should win.
