Wonderous job so far. I agree that the lift support

(and in fact all) are nice. I was just wondering what the angle of the lift is? it looks

nearer to 30 degrees than 45. Nicely recreated my fellow builder.

I am loving this coaster. Great Job!!! On

question, will you include the MCBR or just make a straight section of track?

thanx for the compliments everyine

:D

i would like

to make the brakes using platinum coasters brakes again cause they are so good, but it

depends on how high i can get it to go. if the train barely makes it to that section of

the track i may not put the brakes there but i will try my best to put them in. it would

look cool to have the coaster alsmost come to a stop and then go again into the

corkscrews.

I can't see the pics you have uploaded here for

some reason, it just shows up as a box with the red X of death....

But if

you upload them to something like webshots, I would be able to tell how its looking.

BTW, I can give you the full rundown after Jan. 28th cause I will be walking the rails

of every coaster at SFSTL, including the Ninja, so I will have some great photo points

and stuff......

i family is having company over these next few days so

i will have to stop my construction for now, but i did fnish it up to the mid brakes. i am

using a chain to pull the car through the brakes.

You should put actual brakes in instead of a chain.

i would put actual brakes but the train wont make it all

the way through then so the only thing i can do besides make the track slope down

which would take away from the speed for the corkscrews etc. is put in the chain.

It looks great so far. I don't think I would have

the patience to do a recreation. Good luck.

i think i may start up work on ninja again here this

weekend ( im posting this kinda early cuase i am sick today :( , but right now im not

feeling to bad). anyway i may do some tonight but i have a BIG trumpet audition

tomorrow for central nc all-district band. last year i made like 7th chair (i was the only

freshman) but if i make the top like 3 or 4 this year i can audition for all-state

band! so i may not work on it tonight since i will be kinda stressed out for the

whole thing

i

was also thing about how i was gonna make the rest of the coaster. i was thinking of

all the things i could do if i didnt make it a recreation, but then again i do not want to

not make the recreation so i think i will stick with it. does anyone else have a

say about using what i have now and making the rest custom? just curious

:D

-more pics

this weekend once i begin working on it again

update/edit: good

news!! i just ordered 2 middle cars for my coaster for a 6-car train!

this means i should be able to raise the brakes, maybe even putting in actuall brakes

instead of a lift, and therefore making the corkscrews bigger than i planned to. so far

the coaster is up to the corkscrew section but i will be stopping until i get the cars to

see if i can raise anything first.

just updating to let you know the coaster is still under

construction, i havent taken it down yet. i ordered some new cars last friday and

thought i would get them sooner but i still havent received them. basically i stopped

construction up to the turn after the brakes until i get the new cars since i dont know

how the new cars will affect the trains speed. i may make the brakes higher, i may

actually need brakes, i may need larger corkscrews, who knows. hopefully i will get

the cars this weekend so i can get this coaster finished.

I don't

understand what you mean. First you say you will make the brakes higher than you

say you might actually need some brakes. Does that mean you don't have

brakes at all or what?

sorry to confuse you, right now i have a flat lift to pull

the car along the brake section, so i dont have real brakes currently. if i have extra

speed then i can make the brakes a higher and use platinumcoasters wonderful brakes

for the brakes section

The

number of trains will affect the speed of the train. It will make it go faster, at least

thats what I have gotten out of some experiments I've done. For intence, a four

car train make it over a 2 1/2 foot hill but a 2 car train wouldn't make it over.

Hope that helps!

yeah, im pretty sure the extra cars will make it go

further since with the extra weight it would take more friction from the track to slow it

down (thats why adding a few coins to you cars will make the train go further), just as

long as the supports will hold it. i may need to add a little more support. but basically

im pretty sure the train will go further, its just a matter of how far.
