At the Northern CoasterConvention (NoCoasterCon) a

brand new coaster toy was released, the inverted CoasterDynamic set. These babys

will be released sometime in April, running at $500 dollars apeice. The company

will first be only selling 500 kits, depending on sales, they may make new types and

create more kits.

Personally I think that this coasters system will kick the

butt of Screamin Serpant. Although it is pricy (more for the serious coaster enthusits)

it looks like it will provide tons of layouts and awsome looking models.

Here is a link to the page with pictures. That model that is shown was built with

ONE set, can you believe it? only one?

BTW, for those of you

who can't figure out how you assemble this. its quite simple. First attach the

support beams into the base, then attach the spine to the supports, then add the ties,

and lastly, add the rails......

What do you guys think of this? I am definatly

going to buy one when it comes out!

*EDIT*

Here I thought I would link you to a topic about this model in Coasterbuzz.com, it

answers a lot of questions.

It looks great but is the track flexible or is it just a one

model only thing? It looks like it will be totally different to build from K'NEX

coasters but it doesn't look like as much of a challenge.

2004 - Centaur | Polar Plunge | Chaos | Nessie | Eclipse | Desert Eagle

OMW that is so realistic I'm in shock. When

will it be released? However, I have some of westside's questions as well, I

hope that track can bend otherwise we can't make anyhting different and looks

like it can not :(

westside for your question, the track is not flexible

from what I can tell by all the posts made on coasterbuzz. although it's

unbelievably realistic there's no challenge, just know how to use a screwdriver

and snap on parts. Knex=better for challenge New thing=better for realism
ya

$500 is crazy and I live in Canada so that's like $650 for me. I

could never afford that. I say we stick to knex.

Actualy, the track is flexible enough to create many

different tracks over and over again. It is totaly customizable. They will sell

aftermarket stuff too, like stations, lift hill extentions, and hyper coaster

trains!! I am definatly getting it when it comes out next spring.

How do you know if it is flexible or not, I would like to

see some evidence.

It is in the Coasterbuzz topic, the 18th post down on the

2nd page.

The kit will come with around 35-40 feet of

track. The model shown is one kit. We may modify it to include a cobra roll after the

loop and move the Immelman under the first turn. We aren't sure. You can take

it down as many times as you want without losing structural integrity. The spine and

track come in 6 foot sections and have joints to connect them. You must remove the

rails to modify the layout, but they snap on in a couple minutes. Trust me, it works like

a dream.

The co-creator of it is saying

this so it isn't a rumor.

Go Broncos!

from the posts made by jack r it seems the track is moveable.

Quote:

You can build ANY combination you can dream up

since it is easy to change support height and track geometry. This kit was designed to

be totally expandable. Build Batman, Raptor, or get two and build Dueling

Dragons! There is no limit to what you can build. Best of all, the kit is easy to

assemble. How about two eight car trains on Dueling Dragons- one with an on-ride

camera on the front car and the other with one on the rear? Would that be too cool or

what?

Yes, I thought that you guys would love it

:D

Personally,

I think it would be a challenge, since you actually have to have an idea of what you

want to do, lay it out, then modify the supports. The most challenging will be making

realistic layouts (and recreations) that look almost exactly alike, and now there is no

excuse saying that it has to be flawed so it can work

But

seriously, this is something great, I can't wait for it....
