I heard that Chang was being dismantled for a water park expansion. I don't know if this is true or not.

Old news, it was confirmed like a week ago. But yea, they better not do the coaster-switching thing again.

^I'm pretty sure they will be. Chang is only 12 years old, way to early for such a good coaster to be scraped. And I doubt they would sell it, as it's an easy and cheaper way to give a park a "new" coaster.

Well, La Ronde is getting Astroworld's SLC next year, so it's possible.

Six Flags parks are all supposed to be getting a new roller coaster for 2011 for the chain's 50th anniversary. This is a way to save money on completely new coasters.

I don't see SFKK getting anything but waterpark in the next few years. Also makes me wonder about SFMM and what might happen there in the next few years. Another new coaster (though likely a kiddie) next year, and with the ride trade for 2011, I wonder what they might get OR give up.

Why would the coaster go to SFMM? Can Riddler even use Chang's parts? Also, SFGAm doesn't need another standup. The crowd in Chicago pretty much know what a stand-up feels like, and so do I. Iron Wolf is horrible. If Chang takes place of that I'm ok with it. Otherwise SFSL or SFA could definitely use it.

I have a feeling that SFKK isn't doing so well, now that Twisted Twins and Chang are both down. If it does go down, T2 still needs a home.

^Just like La Ronde doesn't need another invert. But that's happening. Six Flags is really not making any sense to me right now.

^ Me too. I think that SFGADv would be complete with a stand-up (Chang). We will just have to see.

Poor Chang, this was the first year I rode it... it really was the only reason to go, T2 is a crappy slc which isn't worth riding, the rest of the rides suck, the water park is lame and I'm sure the expansion won't make it any better. At least Kings Island is kind of close to me.

Chang is not to be rebuilt until 2011, however, it is known it will be relocated to another park. The latest speculation is that Chang will be opening in 2011 at Six Flags Great America under the new name Green Lantern, which will involve a repainting of the track and supports and an entirely different theme.

I HOPE it doesn't go to SFA. I think it needs to be in SFGADv. Pretty much if they got a stand up they would be set. Also I heard something about it going to CP? I don't know how true that is though.

Why would it go to CP? It's switching between sixflags parks, cp is cedar fair!:confused:
